Chapter 5 [A Carer]

"Oh no, it's okay, you're ok." He frantically said as I bursted into tears. Jin was my neighbour and we hadn't really interacted much other than the few dinners he had been invited to. He was out of school and was really kind to my mother and I. After a few minutes of crying, I finally calmed down and looked up at the road.

"Where are we going?" I asked while glancing at Jin.

"Home," he replied with a small smile. "Are you alright now?" He asked with a hint of worry in his tone. I nodded slowly and explained what had happened that day. "Wow," his eyes grew wide as he spoke. "That's a bit crazy," he whispered. "I'll let your mum know about Namjoon and she'll phone the school." He said, glancing at me while he spoke.

"About that..." I said while trying to avoid his gaze. "My mum is visiting her family for a few months so she won't be home for a while."

"You're living alone!?" He practically yelled. I hugged my knees tightly, sometimes Jin could be scary. "You know a young girl like you shouldn't be living alone, what if someone breaks in or-"

"It's okay," I said softly while looking out the window.

"It's not okay," he replied in a stern tone. He pulled over and got out his phone. After five minutes of talking, he put his phone away and smiled at me.

"I can look after you," he said with a wink. I looked at him confused. "Your mother said you were horrible at cooking, and I quote 'barely knows how to clean a counter'," he said while laughing.
I have to admit, having Jin do chores for me would be great... "Also it gets pretty lonely in my house..." He said while looking me in the eye. What was that supposed to mean..? Before I could say anything he had already started driving and turned up the radio. I sat in silence for a little while, then fell asleep.

I woke up to sunlight streaming on my face. I was in my bed and I had guessed it was morning. Memories of yesterday came flooding back to me as I sat up in bed. Is Jin staying here? I thought to myself while getting out of bed. I was glad I was still wearing the same clothes from the night before, I need to stop falling asleep in the most inconvenient times. I walked out of my room and into the living room. Jin seemed to be sleeping on the couch. I slowly started walking away, trying not to wake him- squeak! The floorboards underneath me just had to be the squeaky ones... Jin immediately sat up on the couch. It doesn't take much to wake hi-

"Oh my gosh!" I yelled as I pulled a pillow over my face. Jin was sitting on my couch, in my house shirtless. He stared at me confused for a few seconds before realising the situation. He frantically pulled his blanket over his body and chuckled to himself.

"Sorry," he smiled "I'm just used to living alone," I smiled awkwardly in return.

"Oh!" I yelled in joy, "it's Saturday!!" Jin smiled at my sudden happiness.

"I'll make breakfast for us, just as soon as I get changed." He stood up, still with his blanket covering his body and walked to my mums room. I guess he moved his stuff into there for the time being I thought to myself.

Breakfast was good, but a bit awkward. As soon as we finished eating there was a knock at my front door. I quickly answered it, expecting Jimin to be there but was confused when an unrecognisable face was in front of me.

"Hobi!" Jin yelled from the kitchen. I came to the conclusion that Hobi was one of Jin's friends so I  let him inside.

"Wow," Hobi said while looking at me. "I didn't know the girl you were staying with was so cute!" He smiled. I felt my face heat up. His smile was so bright. I felt Jin's arm wrap around my waist and pull me closer to him.

"Yeah," he said with a chuckle, my face felt like it was burning now I need to find an excuse to get out of here... I thought to myself.

"I um... need to get changed.." I said softly before running off into my room. Hobi seemed to be out of school as well and was very handsome. I got changed into casual clothes and made my way back to the living room.
