I sprinted back to my house with my shopping bags still in my hands. I desperately knocked on my front door, eagerly waiting for Jin to answer it. Slowly, he opened it and stared at me in shock.

"Y/n?" He asked. "Are you okay?" I shook my head as my eyes began tearing up again.

"No," I responded quietly while wiping tears away from my eyes.

"Oh, y/n," he said with care while hugging me softly. "Let's get you inside," he whispered while picking me up and placing me into the couch. It was so warm indoors compared to the rain.

He quickly retrieved a towel and handed it to me before sitting beside me. I began trying to dry my hair with it.

"Did anyone hurt you?" Jin asked with a worried expression while pulling up my jumper.

"No," I replied while pushing his hands away. "It's my mother," I said while looking up at him.

"Your mother is a strong woman," Jin said with a soft smile. "I'm sure she can get through this." I nodded quickly in response.

"I hope so..." I mumbled.

"If you need anything, I'm always here for you," Jin said while squeezing my hands.

"Thank you," I said softly while looking up at him. We both shared deep eye contact for a few seconds before Jin gently lifted my chin up and leaned down towards me.  I slowly closed my eyes, awaiting what would happen next. I could feel his soft lips brush against mine, but for some reason, he stopped.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled as I opened my eyes. "I just shouldn't let the situation you're in sway your opinion on me." He put his head in his hands, leaning his elbows on his knees. "I don't want to take advantage of you when you're like this."

"I'm sorry I even tried to kiss you in the first place." He muttered. Jin and I sat there in silence for a good five minutes. "I'm an adult now," he said while standing up, "I need to learn to resist temptations." Jin walked into the kitchen while mumbling words of encouragement to himself. He came out a few minutes later with a plate of snacks.

I bit my lip while looking down at the plate. I didn't feel to hungry and it still felt like my heart was going to explode from what Jin tried to do a few minutes ago. I turned to Jin, who was staring at my lips. He shook his head and looked back up at my eyes.

"Not hungry?" He asked with a small smile. I shook my head in response. "I'm sorry that I put you off your food," he said softly while sitting back into the couch.

"You didn't," I replied.

"I can see why Jungkook did it," Jin said out of nowhere while staring at my lips again. I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Y/n," Jin said while leaning down towards me. "Can I be childish just for one moment?" He asked in a deep, soothing voice. I slowly nodded and gently wrapped my arms around his neck as he kissed me. I could tell he was smiling even before he pulled away from me.

"Y/n," he said softly. "I've been thinking, and I'm certain that I'd want to spend the rest of my life with you if you gave me a chance." He smiled to himself.

"Just a few more chances to be childish?" I asked while running my fingers through his hair.  He nodded and smiled.

"Just a few more chances to be childish."
