Being in Zack's car was kind of sad. I mean of course it would be. I really wished I had gotten to know him some more. From what I saw when he was around Beth, he seemed like an okay guy. Beth. Damn. I hadn't gotten the chance to talk to her. As soon as we get back, I'll make sure to pull her aside and talk to her. That is if I don't get sick on this trip. No. I wouldn't get sick. There were people depending on this run back home. I wasn't going down without a fight. Fighting for them. We'd been on the road for about half an hour. We were silent in all that time. I held onto my necklace while I looked out the window. Daryl and I would make eye contact once in a while in the rear view mirror. I was glad that I was here with him. Glad that we were on our way to help our people. Together.

"Hey, I know you weren't running off. The thing is, the trail went cold. You know that, right?" Daryl asked Michonne in the passenger seat.

I knew who they were talking about. The only person that Michonne had risked her life to find all this time. The son of a bitch that caused the whole group so much pain with the loss of some good people. The Governor. Michonne was silent.

"If it was any different, I'd be right out there with you," Daryl said.

He looked back at me.

"I know," I mouthed to him.

I knew him so well already. I knew he'd be out there risking his life right there next to Michonne if the trail hadn't gone cold. If they had some lead on him. I hoped that asshole was dead. People like him deserve to die. Daryl then turned on the radio. A way to break the silence even more I guess.

"Would you hand me one of them CDs right there?" he asked Michonne.

I heard Michonne move around in her seat. All of a sudden, there was a faint voice that was heard coming through.

"You guys heard that, right?" I asked sitting upright.

"That was a voice," Bob said.

Bob, Tyreese and I were leaning forward fully aware of the noise that was just heard.

"Shh," Daryl said.

He tried to get the signal back by moving the dial.

"...determined to survive...keep alive..." was what I could make out.

We were all trying our hardest to hear what it was that was being said. There was a lot of static. I think the signal was lost. I looked up just in time to see something standing in the middle of the road.

"Daryl watch out!!!" I screamed.

There was a walker in the middle of the road. Daryl swerved the car to avoid it. There was another and then another. When we finally came to a stop, there were much more than we wanted. Over a hundred or so that could be seen.

"Holy shit," I said.

The walkers came up and started banging against the windows.

"Grab something!" Daryl yelled putting the car in reverse.

It was going well but it was no use. We'd stumbled upon too many walkers. We'd gotten stuck. Daryl tried getting free by pressing the gas but it wasn't working.

"Go to the left," Michonne said.

We weren't moving at all.

"We're jammed up. All right. Make a run for the gaps right there," Daryl said pointing to the right.

He looked at me. I nodded. I pulled out my knife and put on the backpack I had brought.

"You three, make a run for the woods and you don't stop for nothing, you hear me?" he said.

We all nodded. Daryl turned back around and took in a few breaths.

"Now!" Daryl said.

I quickly opened the door and made my way out, taking down the walkers at the same time. I looked down and saw one big heap of walkers right under the right tire. When Daryl was in reverse, he took them down but there were too many and they all piled up. There were still some that were reaching for us. Some grabbed for me but I took them out. Bob followed right when I was out. Daryl got out through the sun roof and took out a walker that was just about to reach me. I looked over at him to make sure he was on his way. I kept taking out the walkers that came at me. Daryl slid down the front of the car.

"Daryl!" I yelled before I dove my knife into another walker.

He hit a walker that was coming at him with his crossbow.

"Move!" he yelled back.

We advanced closer to the trees. Bob had taken out his gun and started shooting at them.

"Ty!" Bob shouted.

I turned to see that Tyreese was still in the car. Strapped in as a matter of fact.

"Ty!" Bob shouted again.

"Tyreese! Get out of the car now!" I yelled.

I continued to take out the dead.

"Amelia!" Daryl shouted.

I made my way to where he and Michonne were. Daryl, Michonne and I had made it to the trees. I looked over at Tyreese and Bob. Tyreese had gotten out of the car but was suddenly swarmed by the walkers. He was aggressively taking them all out. But there were just too many of them. He couldn't take them all out without help. Bob made it to us.

"Tyreese!" I yelled.

"Go! Go!" Tyreese shouted.

I was about to make my way over to help him out but Daryl quickly grabbed a hold of my hand.

"Come on," he said gently pulling me toward the trees.

"No. Daryl we have to help him," I said.

"We gotta go," he said again.

I looked back at Tyreese but all I could see were the walkers. And all I could hear, were the growls and moans that came from them.
