We got to the van a few minutes later. We packed up all the supplies we had gathered, into the back of the van. Bob went to have a smoke while Tyreese and Michonne pulled out the map to see which route would be quicker for us to take. Daryl was looking at the Jasper he'd found.

"That was really nice of you, you know? Picking that up for Miss Richards," I said holding out my hand so that I could take another look at it.

He handed it to me. He wrapped his arm around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder.

"Just wanted to make it easier for Miss Richards," he said.

"She'll love this," I said.

He looked at me.

"You feeling okay?" he asked.

"Yeah. I am. No symptoms whatsoever," I replied.

"Good," he said leaning in and kissing me.

"That's where I was traveling, Highway 100," I heard Tyreese say.

Daryl and I had parted.

"Then it will take about seven hours to get there. We're gonna need more gas," Michonne said.

"But we'll get there. Taking Highway 100," Tyreese announced while he folded up the map.

"We heard," Daryl said.

Tyreese went in the passenger seat and Michonne took the driver's.

"I'll sit between you and Bob. That way you won't be tempted to kick his ass," I whispered to Daryl.

"All right," he said.

I slid into the middle just as Bob and Daryl took the seats on either side of me.

"You were right what you said before," Michonne said looking back at Daryl.

"About the trail going cold. I don't need to go out anymore," she finished.

"Good," Daryl and I said in unison.

She smiled, turned back around and started the car. The ride back was silent. Daryl and I had intertwined out fingers and I rested my head on his shoulder. He kissed my forehead while he kept messing with the Jasper. We had been driving for about three hours. We had stumbled across a gas station and were now looking for some gas to fill up. Daryl and I had gotten down.

"Really hope we find some," I said.

"We will. Come on," Daryl said leading the way inside.

There was some other useful supplies around so I packed them up. We hadn't come across any gas yet. I was beginning to think we weren't going to find any.

"Hey. We got some," Daryl said holding up a gas container.

I went over to him.

"Is it enough?" I asked.

"Yeah. Come on. Let's take this back," he said.

I smiled and we headed back to the van.

"Anyone want some jerky?" I asked the rest once Daryl and I got to the van.

They all took some. Daryl had started filling up the tank.

"Here," I said holding out a piece of jerky to him.

"Nah, I'm good," he said.

I looked at him.

"Daryl don't make me force this down your throat. Please. For me," I said.
