I looked down at my feet as I made my way up the marble front steps. A thousand things ran through my mind, I second guessed myself left and right. Was I seriously about to wing it? 

Knock knock

Too late Summer!

"Summer", Calum yawned with a hoodie over his head and sweatpants on, "Uh...come in", he moved out of the way so I could walk through.

"Did I wake you? I'm so sorry! I can come back at a different time", I stood in the doorway, hesitant as hell.

"You already woke me up from my fourth nap today. I don't know if I should be thanking you or kicking you out, but I guess I'll just let you in", he snapped while walking into his house.

"Oh", I smiled slightly before following him into the house and closing the door behind me. I followed him downstairs to his studio.

He picked up his bass, sat on the couch, and began strumming lightly, "Any particular reason why you're here?"

I stared at the bass as his fingers grazed over the strings lightly. He was mesmerizing. The way his plump pink lips used to smile, all I ever did now was make him frown. I felt like a terrible person.

"Summer", he spoke up again.

"Huh", I snapped out of my daze, "Oh yeah! Sorry...", I blushed, "I just wanted to tell you something", I prepared myself for the words that were about to come out of my mouth.

He stared at me blankly, "Okay..."

I tried to keep my composure, stay as strong as possible, "I couldn't do this over DM or text so...", I trailed off for a second, thinking of the best possible way to go about this. "I don't know if you've noticed, but when I'm in a pissy mood, I can be a real toxic...bitchy person", I summed up my first thoughts.

He looked confused as hell as he was now completely missing the chords and just doing strumming motion over the chords, "Um..."

"I tend to be in a bitchy mood...a lot. Like when I got mad at you and Emily, then when I read the rumors...that I'm still not even sure are true or not, so then I vandalized this place--", I stopped myself as I realized that this is the first time I had been to his house since I destroyed it, it didn't even look in the slightest vandalized. 

"Yeah", he deadpanned while looking around the room, then returning his gaze to me again.

"I just feel like a terrible person", I whispered as a single tear fell down my cheek.

"Summer", Calum began while standing up to do what I presumed to be comforting me.

I put my hand up before he could even get a foot away from the couch, "No. This is what I had coming, I'm a terrible person. I was begging for this to happen. I got a bit entitled because of the sudden fame and I want to apologize. I want to apologize for the mess I made in this house, with your career, and most importantly: with your feelings", I finished while looking up at him.

He sat silent, very unsure of what to say, "I accept your apologies", he bit his lip.

"I figured that as my first part of becoming a better person, I should give myself time to be that person. Maybe in life, we'll catch up again and pick up right where we left", I frowned, "Well maybe not exactly where we left off because this is kind of messy--but--I'd like to have another go at us because I really do love you Calum", I looked up from my shoes, "A lot."

He smiled that annoyingly sexy smile, "Same here."

"I can't really stand to keep from crying so I'm gonna head out", I motioned to the basement door and turned on my heels, walking out of the basement and to the front door.

"Wait up, Blaze", I heard my last name as I turned around and was greeted by Calum wrapping his arms around my body, "I love ya a lot."

"Love you too", I said softly, trying to contain my emotions. It was a combo of happiness and sadness. A bittersweet end to this chapter of my life. He finally pulled away and stared at me with that smile...THE SMILE! I smiled back before turning around and placing my hand on the door.

"Wait", he called.

I turned around again, "Yeah?"

He was pinching the bridge of his nose with a smirk on his face, "Stay. Just in case we don't find each other again, we can say we ended on a good note", he shrugged.

I smiled at the idea, "Amazing idea, Hood."

"I know right", he sassed while holding his hand out to mind.

I took it.
