*Nessa's POV*
"I understand Katrina, its okay. Mhm, bye." I say in a melancholy tone and hang up. My friend Katrina and I were supposed to go see Shawn Mendes together, sadly she can't make it.
"Mom I'll just alone." I tell my mom and grab a pip tart from its box.
"Ya know, I can come with you." She says holding up Katrina's ticket.
"Mom you don't know a single Shawn song." I tell her and open up my pop tart.
"Of course I do. What's that one song called? Stitches?" She recalls and starts to sing a few words to Life Of The Party.I put my pop tart on the counter and give her the "are you serious?" look.
"Mom I appreciate you trying to make me feel better, but honestly I'm doing fine. I mean after all I do have the best seats." I flatter myself.
She shrugs her shoulders and sits on the counter top chair next to me.
"Hey!" I yell as she takes a big bite of my pop tart.
"Sorry, I just realized I have work today."She grabs her laptop bag, a stack of papers and heads out the door.
"Call me when you reach the venue!" She yells over her shoulders.
I hop up and go shut the door. I sit on the couch, turn the tv on and flip through some channels.
"Buzz"
I look down at my phone and a reminder pops up. It reads: order Uber. I'm so glad I put that on there cause knowing me I would have forgot. Pressing on the app I order an uber, luckily there was one close by so it would take him about 10 minutes, which also means I have 10 minutes to get ready. Shoot.
I run up to my room and pull out a t-shirt dress from my dresser with a red flannel for around my waist. I open my closet and take out my gold Jordans. I was feeling a messy bun for my hair and swiped on some concealer, mascara and some highlighter.
I look at my phone and the notification that the uber is here.
"Perfect time." I tell myself.
I head downstairs, grab my mini backpack and head out the door.
"Uber for Nessa?" I ask through he window. He nodded and I got in. I pull out my beats plug them in my phone and listen to my music, while looking out the window.
