Take note of these shortcuts first:

S - subject
N - noun
V - verb
O - object
Adj - adjective

•••

1. Subject + Noun

나는 선생님이다. Naneun seonsaengnim-ida- I am a teacher.

While this structure is marked as S+ N, there is an arguable verb in there. It's the ending "ida" which is translated as the verb "to be," but mostly it's an affirmative linking verb.

Example:

나는 - Naneun - I
선생님 - seonsaengnim - teacher
이다 - ida - (v) "to be"
