Outside the station, I knew that I was being watched by Nolan because hunters sent him to watch me because they knew I knew something and they thought that I would lead them to the pack. I was making them believe that they were right by carrying an armful of blankets and sleeping bags out of the storage into the Jeep, stuffing them inside. I looked around as if to make sure no one was watching, seeing that Nolan was hiding very badly in the driver's seat of his car, walking toward the driver's seat, smirking smugly, getting inside, setting the SatNav in my car to take me to Hill Valley Zoo, driving away, making sure that Nolan was following me closely behind. When Liam called, I answered the phone.

"Did it work?"

"Yep. Nolan's right behind me. Like literally right behind me. He's driving a bright red car. He's actually terrible at this."

"Okay, just be careful."

"Okay."

I hung up.

I got to Hill Valley Zoo in the Jeep, meeting up with Liam and Theo as they got out of Theo's truck and walked toward me.

"How close is he?" Liam asked.

"He's right down the road," I answered. "Don't look." Theo walked over to the trunk to pull out the sleeping bags. "You two sure you got this? I mean, Scott, Malia, Lydia and Argent can handle the lair. I mean, it's just you two out here."

Theo walked closer with the sleeping bags. "His friends shoot to kill. You might be able to shoot, but you won't kill. Go to the others."

I gave him a weird look. "This coming from the guy that nearly used a self-defense case to destroy my relationship with Scott and Stiles. You really have changed."

"Don't worry about us," Liam told me. "Nolan's gonna do the rest. Just go help them."

I nodded in agreement, driving away.

I met up with Scott, Malia, Lydia and Argent outside of Gerard's lair. "It worked."

"It's about time," Malia told us, starting to come out of hiding so we could go inside.

Scott grabbed her arm to stop her. "Wait."

Malia hesitated. "I hear them, too."

"Hear what?" Lydia asked.

"Heartbeats," Scott answered.

"How many?" Argent asked.

Scott gave a guess. "10?"

"More," Malia answered.

"Are we breaking in or not?" Lydia asked.

Argent shook his head. "Not. The armory should be empty by now."

Malia didn't get the big deal. "We can take out a few hunters if we have to."

Argent looked at Scott, Lydia and Malia. "We're dealing with a dozen well-armed hunters who have orders to kill you on sight."

I looked at them worriedly. "Then how are we supposed to get inside?"

We were still in hiding, debating.

"Gerard thinks we're gone," Malia told us. "It's a good plan."
