The werewolf girl that had come to us for help after she had been attacked by the hunters and the Deputy was named Quinn. Dad had also found Theo with two wolves named Tierney and Jiang, arresting them for murder. The pack was with Dad, Parrish and Quinn in the office of the Sheriff's Station, watching the security feed monitoring Theo and the wolves in the cells.

Theo was ranting in frustration. "I had nothing to do with any of this. Hello? Come on. Who did you kill? Was it you? You? Both of you? Who's the murderer? All right, I get it. The longer you stay quiet, the better. Right? But you're here for murder. And they're keeping me here, too. But you're the murderers."

"We're not murderers," Jiang told him.

Tierney gave him a look. "Jiang."

Jiang looked at Theo. "If you'd been there, you'd know we didn't have a choice."

"Jiang, shut up!" Tierney told him.

Theo turned to the camera, raising his arms in a shrug. "We good?"

Dad looked at Parrish, nodding. Parrish went to let Theo out of the cell.

Dad looked at the rest of us. "I'm not letting them out. We've got two bodies covered in slash marks, and they confessed to killing two people."

"Hunters," Scott told him.

"People, Scott," Dad told him. "Self-defense or not, they're still here, and the other guys are dead. And there's a process I have to follow."

"You didn't want to follow that process when it was me in the self-defense position," I told him.

Dad gave me a look. "Stacie."

"Dad, you know what's happening around here," I told him. "It's not safe for them."

"This actually may be the safest place for them in Beacon Hills," Dad told us. "At least I can protect them here."

"Would Stiles think that?" Lydia asked.

"Especially if one of your deputies is working for Gerard?" Malia asked.

"I'm not buying that," Dad told us. "I know these deputies like the back of my hand. I know their families, their kids, their brothers and sisters. I know who they are. I trust them."

"You know who they were," Liam corrected. "There's something out there. Everyone's afraid, and it's getting worse."

"Yeah, you can't protect two werewolves from hunters if they're already on the inside," Lydia told him.

Dad knew we were right, sighing, looking toward where Quinn was sitting. "It's Quinn, right? You're sure it was a deputy who shot you? Absolutely, 100% sure?"

Quinn nodded.

We were still talking.

"I saw the flashing lights, a police car," Quinn explained. "I saw a badge, a gun, and then they shot me. They shot me in the head, and that's all I remember."

Dad sighed. "There are a couple holes in her story."

"Maybe because there's a hole in her head," I told him sarcastically.

Malia laughed, but stopped when we gave her a look. "I'm sorry."

"Sheriff, we need to get Jiang and Tierney out of here before anyone realizes they're here," Scott told him.
