My Brother's Best Friend

Chapter 7

Alex's POV

I'm home, I am finally home after a long plane ride. I look around the airport with Jordyn while waiting for my brother to pass through security.

"I can't believe we are finally home, it's been so long!" Jordyn exclaims.

"Yeah I know right, I have missed this place!" I say amazed.

"Welecome home you guys!" I hear a familiar voice say. I turn around to look where the voice is coming from.

"Mom, Dad!" I yell and run towards them. I look next to them to see Jordyn's parents as well, and Jordyn hugging them too. I feel another pair of arms wrap around me and turn around to see my brother. I smile at my amazing family but realize something.

"Where is Kameron?" I ask and my mom smiles.

"He's at school right now." I forgot about school. Kameron is my little brother that is in 6th grade and I haven't seen him since I left.

"Mom, can we pretty please pick him up early today and I can go surprise him?"

"Sure sweetie." My mom says which makes me squeal and start jumping up and down.

"Well then, what are we waiting for let's go!" I say and turn towards Jordyn.

"Do you wanna come or do you want to spend time with your parents?" I ask her.

"I think I'll stay here but I will see you tonight at dinner, I think our parents are making dinner for us." She says.

"Oh." I say while frowning, I don't want to eat.

"Well I'll see you later!" I say quickly smiling again, I don't want her parents to see me frowning, then they'll know we haven't gotten much better.

"You too!" She says. I walk over to my family and we all go to the car.

-Time Skip!-

I push through the school doors and find the front office.

"I'm here to check out Kameron."

"Last name?"

"Smith."

"Okay classroom 303."

"Thank you miss!" I smile and she just nods, I walk down the halls to that classroom and see his teacher look at me and grin, I love his teacher, she is the best, we used to be really close before I moved. I walk into the classroom and see Kameron looking down at his notes not spotting me yet and I put my finger up to my mouth at the kids that have seen me to tell them to be very quiet.

I walk over to Kameron and whisper in his ear,

"Hey buddy how have you been?" He looks up confused and then jumps into my arms.

"Alex I have missed you so much!" He says while crying.

"I have missed you too, I am back though." I say to him while rubbing his back, he cries harder and holds onto me, it's very rare for him to cry in front of other people, I guess he really did miss me.

"Umm, Mrs. Blue is it okay if I take him home early?" I ask turning to the teacher.

"Yes dear, it's great to have you back." She says smiling. Mrs. Blue is the nicest teacher at ths school and she used to teach me when I was Kam's age.

"Okay buddy grab all of your homework and pack your stuff, you're coming home early." I say while putting him back down by his desk.

"Okay Alex, I'll meet you out by the car!"

"Okay bud." I say smiling.

"By the way, hello Jackson and Natalie." I say looking at them. They smile and wave. Natalie is Kams friend, she likes him and I adore her.

Dawson is Kams best friend so I know them very well, they came over to our house a lot before I left I'm glad to see they are still close.
