I woke up facing a ceiling with glow in the dark stars, confusing me. Then the events from yesterday resurfaced, making me smile. I look around the room that my mom said was mine when I was little. It had dark blue walls with a small board with hand drawn pictures hanging over a small desk. I get up and make my bed before walking over to it. One picture was of a stick drawing of my family with little arrows pointing to who was who. I chuckled at my poor drawing skills then.
"Hey, that was my piece of bacon!" I hear Cam yell. Uh-oh, I think before chuckling. Someone is in for it. No one, and I mean no one, touches Cam's bacon. I decide to walk towards his dramatic voice and find myself standing in an open kitchen and dining area. Cam and Damion seem to be the ones arguing over a piece of bacon, while their parents look at them with amusement and joy. You could see how happy they were to have their family whole again. I smile softly at the sight before looking around. Miss Ali and my mom are in the kitchen fixing more food, my brother is at the table texting someone on his phone and my dad is reading the newspaper.
"Hey Scarlet, you hungry?" I hear someone say. I turn to look and see it was Damion. Seems Cam won the piece of bacon, since he is eating it. He swallows and looks at his twin.
"When is she not hungry?" He states, rolling his eyes. I glare at him.
"I'm a growing girl, I can be hungry whenever I want to be thank you very much." I say turning my head and marching to the kitchen area. My mom hands me a plate and kisses my temple.
"That's great sweetie, because I love cooking and I'm always looking for new people to try my new recipes!" She says excitedly. I give her an excited smile.
"Free food! Count me in!" I tell her. Everyone around us laughs. I take my plate and sit across from Cam and besides my brother. My dad looks up from his paper and smiles.
"Morning sweetheart, how did you sleep!" He asks me.
"I slept great! How about you, dad?" I ask. I see his eyes water a bit when I call him dad and smile sadly. I can't imagine what it was like for him and mom, losing their daughter.
"I slept good. Also, before I forget to tell you, your mom and I enrolled you in school starting Monday." He says looking slightly concerned about what my reaction might be. I smirk.
"Uh-oh. I know that look." Miss Ali says.
"Me too." Says Cam.
"What does that look mean?" Mom asks, worried.
"Who has the top rank at the school?" Miss Ali asks, concerned.
"Uh...Carmen Vanbor, why?" My brother asks, finally looking up from his phone. I smile and take a bite of my food.
"Not for long." Cam says smirking as well. Everyone looks at me and I shrug.
" I may not look like a nerd, but I was number one in ranking for the past four years at my school in New York." I say taking another bite. Everyone looks a little shocked besides Miss Ali and Cam, who snort.
"Past four years? I'm sure you were the smartest since elementary. I hope Carmen doesn't take it too hard." Cam says concerned.
"I hope so too, I'm not about to slack on my grades just because I moved and reunited with my family." I say, not wanting to cause trouble.
"I'm sure she will understand, she's not one to hold anything against anyone." Damion says. I let out a breath of air, relieved. Then I turn serious.
"Is this an all wolves school?" I ask my dad. He nods his head.
"Yeah, there are two packs ours, the Moonstone pack, and the Winter pack." He tells me.
"Okay. That helps and complicates things." I say more to myself. Everyone looks at me confused. I sigh.
"It's good that it's only two packs there currently..." I say, wondering if I should continue. Cam mind links me 'It will be fine, tell them'.
"Currently?" My dad says, his alpha mode on now. Everyone looks at me seriously.
"I'm apart of the Starlight pack." I say, everyone gasps.
"That's one of the top packs in America. They said the alpha never shows his face, but it is a very small pack." My dad says.
"There are 5 members, and the alpha is a She, not a He. Not to sound disrespectful, Alpha Moonstone."Cam says.
"Please, Alpha Fredrick. I know you meant no disrespect, but how do you know the alpha is female?" Dad asks. Cameron rubs the back of his neck and I look at my now empty plate. I clear my throat and everyone looks at me.
"Well, you are looking at three members. Ali is a pack member, Cam is the Beta, and well...I'm the Alpha." I say. Everyone looks shocked.
"How come Ali is a pack member, yet she is older?" Damion asks.
" Well, I'm sure you all heard Scarlets Alpha Command. She was radiating power, I decided to ask her to form a pack after the attack and she did. Cams had beta blood in him, and I'm just an average wolf. The other pack members, including the third are still in New York until  everything here is situated." Miss Ali says.
"Why do you call her by her name and not Alpha?" My brother asks.
"Because I told them to unless I'm in Alpha mode, which usually is during pack business. Also, Alpha Fredrick, do you think we can schedule a time to talk about my pack moving here." I say seriously, Alpha mode on. He gets serious and nods his head.
"We can talk more after lunch, I have a meeting to attend here in a few minutes. Though, I got to admit I'm impressed you became an alpha and have not yet shifted." He said looking proud. I smile.
"Thanks dad, I also hope the other packs are understanding. Well, Brayden you're my brother so that helps, but what about the Winters' pack?" I ask.
"Well sweetly, you already met the future alpha of the Winters' pack." My mom says. I think about it, the only winter I have met was...Mackinley...I open my eyes in shock. Oh moons...my mom smiles at my look. I quickly shake it and nod.
"When does he step up?" I ask.
"His dad decided he will hand the Alpha title after he proves himself a leader. You're brother on the other hand, will be handed the Alpha title when he turns eighteen here in a few months." My dad said.
"Congratulations Brayden!" I say to my brother. He smiles and ruffles my hair.
"Never thought my little Lettie would become Alpha before me. Though I'm going to warn you now, some members of the Winters pack may not take you being a human Alpha too well. So expect the unexpected." My brother says. I nod my head and smirk.
"BB, I am the unexpected." I exclaim. Everyone laughs and shakes their heads.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The morning was mostly spent catching up and spending time with my family and new friends. Lunch came and passed, and now I find myself opposite my father in his office.
"So I'm going to take it that you need a piece of land for your pack?" He asks me.
"Yes, Alpha Fredrick. Preferably in an neutral area that won't cause any conflict." I say seriously. My dad nods his head and opens a drawer, pulling out a file.
"I thought so. When you were little your mom and I was planning for the future. We set a plot of land aside in case you found your mate here or just wanted a place to come to in case your mate was in another pack. It is 100 acres near the school on the edge of both mine and the Winters pack. Although this is not how I thought this would end up being used, but I am happy my daughter can be close to her home pack. So, Alpha of Starlight pack, I present you with this land deed." My dad says handing me the deed to sign. I sign it and shake his hand.
"Okay, now I just need to build the pack house. Know anyone?" I ask my dad. Sensing I'm no longer in alpha mode, my dad relaxes.
"Well, the pack house use to be there before you were born. Our pack expanded after your brother was born so we built a new pack house here." He says smiling. I let out a laugh.
"Well that take cares of that. Now I just need to contact my pack members and inform them of their new living situation. Get moved in and enroll my pack members in school. Oh and contact Alpha Winters and hold a meeting with him about my pack moving in next door." I say in one breath. My dad chuckles.
"The life of an Alpha. Here's Alpha Winters contact information." He says half joking, half serious.I nod my head before clapping my hands.
"Alright, I'm going to start on that so I can get them here before I start school Monday." My dad nods his head.
"Okay kiddo, have fun!" My dad says, saluting me. I laugh, leaving the office and heading to my room. After calling the rest of my pack, I am happy to find that two more people will be joining my pack. My third in commands mate and her sister.
'Beta Cameron, I need you to contact the remaining pack members about their plane tickets and set up a day for an accepting ceremony for the thirds mate and her sister'
'Yes, Alpha. That's great! Two more members!' He replies. I smile at his excitement.
'Also make sure you have everything ready for school'. I say smirking, knowing he is not as fond of school as I am.
'Ha...ha...ha...yes, Alpha!' He laughs sarcastically. I chuckle before gathering all my stuff for the move, although most of it was still packed. After I gathered everything, I called the school and enrolled the rest of my pack. I smiled after that was all done. Now I just have to wait for my pack to arrive in two days and contact Alpha Winters. I pull out my phone and dial his number.
"Alpha Winters speaking, whom am I speaking to?" A deep gruff voice says.
"Hello, Alpha Winters. This is Alpha of the Starlight pack. I am speaking to you in regards of moving my pack. I have already spoken to Alpha Moonstone and he's given me 100 acres of his land. I was just informing you of this change." I say in my alpha mode.
"Well, Alpha of Starlight, why would he do that?" He says cautiously. I decide I can trust him since he's my fathers best friend.
"I am Alpha Scarlet Paige Moonstone, daughter of Alpha Fredrick Moonstone and Luna Rose Moonstone. I am aware that you know my family found me, but you were all unaware that I was an alpha. I hope you can forgive my intrusion between both of your lands near the neutral territory." I say apologetically. He chuckles.
"No need to apologize, Alpha Scarlet. I'm assuming he gave you the deed?" He asks.
"Yes, sir." I say.
"Well, I wish you and your pack well. I'm also thinking my son has no idea who you are?" He asks curiously.
"No, sir. I would like if he would find out at school with everyone else, if you don't mind." I respond.
"No problem, Alpha Scarlet. Have a great night." Alpha Winters says.
"You as well, Alpha Winters." Then the phone call ends and I fall back on my bed. Time for a quick nap before dinner.
