35. Lie

Evie's POV:
Shoot Ben noticed the scars. Carlos glanced at me giving me a look that said 'help me' and I bit my lip.
"He fell." I lied.
Audrey grabbed his arm and Carlos winced. At that time Mal undid the spell.
"These are fresh and as much as Carlos is clumsy he did not get this by falling. Did you cut yourself?!" Audrey asked.
Carlos snatched his arm away and glared at Audrey and Ben.
"N-No." Carlos stuttered.
"Liar." Mal said.
Carlos ran off and I glared at them. Mostly Ben though.
"Guys leave him alone!" I exclaimed.
"But he is cutting himself." Jay said.
"Because of what you said!" I yelled.
I ran to my hotel room and opened the door.
"Carlos." I whispered.
I closed the door and locked it and looked everywhere. Then I tried to check the bathroom but the door was locked.
"Carlos please don't-." I said.
"I'm not." Carlos responded.
"Then unlock the door." I hissed.
Carlos unlocked the door and I opened it. He had a glass shard in hand but nothing was happening.
"Evie." Carlos whispered.
I realized that he wanted me to get it out of his hand. So I slowly took the shard and threw it away.
I slid down the bathroom door and hugged him. Carlos started to cry and I hugged him tighter.
"It's okay. Your okay." I whispered.
Carlos's breathing calmed and I smiled.
"I'm sorry." Carlos mumbled.
"It's okay Carlos," I whispered,"c'mon lets go to sleep."
I helped Carlos up and opened the bathroom door. I led Carlos to the bed and turned off the lights before getting in the bed.
"I can't go to sleep." Carlos mumbled.
I gave him a small smile and started to sing quietly.
On the first page of our story
The future seemed so bright

Carlos's eyes started to get droopy and I smiled a bit.

Carlos fell asleep and I sighed.
"Just like Caitlin Snow. Your broken Carlos."
