"Supermarket Flowers" Personal Imagine for Lillian

I walked into Kash n Grab at 5pm on Thursday just like every week prior. My brother always had this weird craving for barbecue chips at five in the afternoon on Thursdays, so I was always sent to go get him some. I never complain, it means I get to be alone for twenty minutes with my thoughts. My brother has been over a friends house for the past few Thursdays to have a light study hangout thing, but next week is the beginning of summer vacation so nothing new is being handed out. I walk in and instantly, a new face was looking at me. A fiery red head, looked about my age, maybe a year or two older. I head to where the chips are and wanted to get a few things for myself. While I was debating whether I wanted chips or some candy, someone walked into the store and started talking to the red head at the front of the store. Their conversation gradually moved to a whisper when I looked over at them and they were both looking at me but quickly looked away. I didn't think much of it, but I finally decided to settle on getting a few chocolate bars. 

I moved to where the drinks were located and contemplated whether I wanted to get Pepsi or Sprite. I was lost in my thoughts when I heard the guy that came in yell.

"Hey, you looking at the sodas, Ian over here wants to know what your name is." He yells, I turned around and a bit bit startled at what just happened.

"My name is Lillian." I replied and furrowed my brows.

I grabbed the Sprite and placed all the items on the counter. Ian and I made eye contact, I smiled at him and he smiled the smile of a million bucks. He looked over to a sandy-haired boy who whispered "Do it now.", and Ian blushed.

"You see those supermarket type flowers right there? Could you get me one?" Ian said and pointed at the bouquet of flowers by the door before started to scan the items I laid out. I walked over and picked out the prettiest bouquet they had and placed it on the counter. He scribbled a a piece of paper and placed it in the bouquet. 

"How much is it?" I asked, pointed at my bag of snacks.

"Don't worry about it, I paid for it." He said with a smile.

"Are you sure? I have the money right here." I replied.

"Yes, I'm sure." He said as he handed me my bag, "Oh, and these are for you as well." He said as he handed me the flowers. I looked down and blushed and thanked him.

I walked home, my mind and heart racing from the situation I was just put through. I opened my front door, threw the chips in my brothers general direction and then headed up to my room. I opened up the note that was in the flowers.

"I don't know what else to do, do you want to go on a date sometime? Meet me at Kash n Grab at 4 tomorrow if yes    - Ian"
