I opened my eyes and I was unbelievable sore. My leg hurt when I stretched it and I moaned. Cameron woke up and looked at me. He smiled but as the events from last night resurfaced in his mind, his soft face turned hard.

"Let me change the bandage." He stood up and walked into my bathroom. I moved the blanket so he could see my leg. The bandage from last night was covered in blood and was brittle. It crunched everytime I moved. Cameron began talking from my bathroom.

"So, why did Kevin attack you?" Cameron asked.

"I don't know. He just came in and started blabbing."

"You probably deserved it."

"What?"

"I'm just saying, he could of come in here wanting something but you put something else in his mind." I stared at him as he came out of my bathroom with stuff to clean my wound and re-bandage it. My mind began to race. I had never said anything to Kevin, what did Cam mean? Had I done something a certain way that made Kevin think I wanted him? I couldn't think of anything like that, but then again, he hadn't come in here looking for sex. He came in here yelling about my impure blood. I sat up with his help and then carefully unwrapped my leg. I closed my eyes and tried to relax and ignore him. It didn't hurt as bad a last night, it was only a little sore.

"Holy God." Cameron said. I was scared of what I was about to see. When I opened them, Cameron was pale. He was staring at my leg in shock and I'm sure my face looked the same. What was a 6 inch long gash is now nothing but a scar.

"It should not look like that." I managed to say.

"I know... Hang on, you have to see Carl." He stood up and I went to stand next him. He went to grab me when I put weight on my leg but I was steady. He was as shocked as I was. I took a step. I walked with a limp but I could walk. Cameron kept his arm around my waist as we walked to Carl's house. I noticed that we had slept most of the day and that it was most likely evening. We reached his house and Cameron knocked on the door. Carl opened the door and seemed confused.

"What's wrong you guys?"

"Carl, you need to look at her leg." Cameron said.

"It's not infected is it?" he said, leading us inside.

"No, it's nothing but a scar." Carl turned around.

"Seriously, I woke up and it was a scar." I sat down on the couch Carl pointed at. He lifted my pant leg up and he saw the scar. He was as shocked as we were.

"Carl, this isn't normal. She hasn't changed yet and, yet, her healing is accelerated." Cameron's face was full of worry. Carl walked around and then asked Cameron to join him in his office. They left me in the room. My ears tried to find some type of hint of sound. Nothing. I looked at my leg. Clutching the ends of the couch, I stood up. My leg throbbed and I was a little shaky but I could stand by myself. I began pacing, soon the throbbing was gone and I was walking normal. I smiled a little before Cameron came walking out of the office with fury written on his face.

"He has no right to be alive. He tried to kill her. He should be dead!" Cameron growled.

"That's not for you to decide..." Carl said. The energy in the air shifted again. I looked at Cameron. He was breathing heavy and then he was gone. The brown wolf was back and it startled me. I stepped back quickly, suck in a breath, and pressed myself against a wall. I knew it looked like I was scared of him but the wolf rushed out the door before either of us could stop him.

"Cam!" I yelled but there was no sign of him. I turned to Carl. "What did you say to him?"

"Raven, Kevin is still here on the property. I have guards at his doors and basically made it impossible for him to get out." I wasn't listening much. I understood why Cameron had left. I looked out the door again.
