I ended up staring out of my window all night long. I watched the tree line, looking for any movement. I waited forever. I pulled a big plush chair over to the window and sat in it. I was so worried about him. A couple times, I wanted to go look for him but I also worried about him coming back while I was gone.
He'll be back. my wolf said.
Thanks, go back to sleep. I said. I felt her curl up into a ball and fall asleep. I rested my head on my hand and watched the trees shift in the wind. I nearly jumped out my skin when Madelynn walked into my room.
"Have you slept at all?" She looked at me with raised eyebrows.
"No... I have been waiting on him to come back." I stretched. I wasn't going to lie I was tired but I couldn't sleep knowing that he was out there along with Exiles.
"I'm sure he's fine. You need to get some sleep."
"I'll be fine, Mad." I stood up. She shook her head.
"Let's go, I'll make you breakfast." She lead me out towards the meeting hall. When we walked through a door, the kitchen that greeted us was enormous. Carl stood at one of the stoves, flipping pancakes.
"Well, when I said I would, I meant Carl would." Madelynn said as she pour coffee into a cup for me. Carl sat two plates of pancakes in front of us. I thanked him but I couldn't eat. I felt sick to my stomach. I looked up at him.
"Cameron still isn't back?" Carl asked after a moment. Madelynn slammed her arm down and looked at him.
"Mad, its okay and no he isn't." Tears formed in my eyes. The Alpha took the plate from me and I was grateful.
"The Alpha and I will go look for him. You stay here and get some sleep." I nodded. She left with Carl and I walked to my cabin. As soon as I lied down, and as much as I didn't want to, I closed my eyes and fell asleep quickly.

~Carl's POV~
In his office
"Do you understand me? We will be checking on her to make sure she's not a threat." his cruel tone drifted through ths phone.
"Yes, I understand but can't you just let me handle this?"
"Mr. Acres, the moment that wolf slipped through your fingers to create the monster that is now in our world, this no longer became your responsibility." His voice echoed.
"Yes sir." I said. I slammed the phone down. Struggling to maintain my wolf, I turned to find Cameron, who had been standing there for the last five minutes. The look on his face told me that he had heard everything.
"Cameron, Raven was looking for you, ALL last night and this morning." I said.
"What did they say?" he growled.
"Cameron, you have to understand... the Clan Leaders want to make sure that our world is safe and a human being changed by one of us, it causes problems."
"I won't let them near her. This happen to her because of me, I am the one to protect her. How is she a problem when she hasn't even shifted yet?" he said.
"She did, last night." I said, recalling last night. I went after her because I knew it would happen. It didn't take long to find her. When she shifted, her wolf reached out for help. Luckily, I was close enough to her. Cameron looked at me, a little stunned.
"Look Carl, I don't care if they think she is a threat. I don't care if Kevin was worried about his safety but I will tell you something. I will do everything I can to keep her safe. She is mine to protect." I stared at him, praying that the words in my head aren't want he is about to say but still I asked him.
"Cameron... what do you mean?"
"I, Cameron James, claim Raven Alice as my mate."

~Raven's POV~
I sat up in bed as a weird sensation went over me. My heart was beating fast and all I wanted to do was have Cameron's arms around me. I stood up and looked in my mirror. Holy shit. I thought to myself. My hair was everywhere and I wasn't looking like the most attractive wolf. I walked into my bathroom. With a large shower and separate bathtub, my bathroom was awesome. I loved the two person sink with two feet between each of the bowls. I ran water and brushed my hair after wetting in down. Rubbing water on my face, I dried my face and heard the door open. After hanging the towel up, I heard a noise.
"Raven?" It was Cameron! I turned to the mirror and fluffed my hair and quickly squeezed my cheeks to put color in them.
"In here baby." I said, facing the door. He opened it and I'm pretty sure his pupils dilated.
"Mine." he stalked across the room and crushed his lips on mine. His tongue quickly found mine. He turned me slightly and his hands gripped my hips. He lifted me and set me on the sink counter. I wrapped my legs around his so he couldn't get away but I don't think that he wanted to go anywhere. His arms tightened around my waist and mine when around his neck. I could feel the lust surging through his body and I smiled against his lips. He leaned away from me and I almost whined.
"Baby, I need you to do something for me." he said. I looked at him.
"I don't have much time before Carl gets here and he is PISSED. I need you to say that you accept me as your mate." I stared at him. I had read something like this in the books I loved to read but I figured that him accepting a impure born wolf must be dangerous.
"Baby..." I didn't know how to form the thoughts in my head into words. I heard my wolf in my head. He's not ours to claim.
"If you don't want me as your mate, just say it." he looked at me. Was he worried that I would reject him? No way in hell. He took my silence as a bad thing and spoke again. My stomach was knotted again and I knew my wolf wasn't helping.
"I know that if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be a wolf but I already told Carl that I will protect you no matter what. Until the day I die, I'll-" I leaned forward and kissed him just so he would shut up. After I was done, I leaned back and looked at him.
"I, Raven Alice, accept you, Cameron James, as my mate." My wolf seemed to whimper as he kissed me again.
