Katie's P.O.V.

I dialed Lillith's number quickly once I made it back to my house.

"Hello Katie, my dear, how are you?" Lillith's sweet voice came through the phone.

"Hello, I'm fine. How about you?" I said.

"I'm fine, sweetheart. Why haven't you come to see me lately?" she asked.

"I'm sorry but I need your help. My cousin, Alpha Alec Jackson, has finally found his mate."

"Oh my, that is such good news! Make sure he knows how happy I am for him!" she exclaimed.

"Lillith, please, someone placed a spell on her and it's killing her. It drained me just trying to figure out what was wrong! Would you guys please come help us?" I begged.

"Sweetie, it's okay. We will be there sometime tonight. Alright?" Lillith said.

"Thank you so much!" I said. She hung up and I walked out of my house. I shifted into my wolf so that I could make it to Alec's house quicker. Brown fur lined my body and white tipped my ears and paws. I wasn't anything special, just a warrior wolf, I protected the Alpha and now the Luna. I ran towards the house, being a strong wolf, I got there quickly. I shifted back and knocked on the door. After the second knock, I opened the door.

"Hello?" I said. No sound came from the house. I closed the door behind me and walked up the stairs towards Alec's room. I knocked on the door and opened when once again no sound came from inside. Raven lied on the bed, still shaking but breathing. I walked over to her and looked at her. Her black hair had a curl to it and her skin was pale. She was really pretty and strong. I couldn't wait to see her wolf.

David? Beta? I said.

Yea? he replied.

Where is Alec? I asked.

Is he not with Raven?

No, I'm standing right next to her. I said.

Hang on I'll be there in a sec.

Why? I asked, confused.

Because he's not with me or in his office. The connection broke and I was even more confused. Why would he leave his mate when she was in pain? I looked down at Raven. I dragged a chair that Alec had in the corner of the room over to the bed. I sat it close to the bed and I sat down beside Raven. I propped my foot up on the seat and pulled out my phone. I pressed his speed dial number and put the phone to my ear. I heard it ring once and then I heard vibrating on the dresser behind me. I rolled my eyes and hung up. I closed my eyes and leaned my head back.

Alpha? I said, trying to reach him.

Absolute silence.

Cuz? Come on where are you? I said. Nothing once again. It was like trying to send thoughts through a brick wall. I opened my eyes and looked at Raven. I stood up and placed my hand on top of hers.

"That is one stubborn ass mate you have there. Keep him in line for us ok?" I said, smiling. There was a knock on the door and I walked over to it. I opened it to see David on the other side. He walked in and looked at Raven. You could see the pain in his eyes as he stared at our Luna.

"Can't believe this happen to my best friend. She doesn't deserve this." he said. I put my hand on his shoulder blade and smiled.

"David, I can't reach Alec at all."

"This doesn't make any sense," David said. He walked over and took a seat in my chair. I sat on the edge of the bed, facing Raven. "Why would he leave and shut us out when Raven is like this?" David leaned foward, placing his elbows on his knees.
