Smiles don't linger,
Laughter can't survive the minutes,
Because deep inside,
Sadness reigns.But it's okay,
I'm gathering the bricks,
The cements the piles,
Building myself a wall of armour,
A skyscraper so tall,
No one can ever enter,
I'm closing my heart to the world,
So no one can ever hurt me,
Just like you did
When I let you in.I'll still look the same,
But you have to know,
To remember my name,
The girl you used to hold,
Who's smile used to glow.
