We were building castles
In the air,
You planted hopes and dreams,
A love affair,
It felt real,
I wanted to get there,
Took a ladder,
Started stepping stairs.I brought some bricks
And cement we would need,
To start constructing
Our castle in the sky.The load was heavy
A heavy weight indeed,
You had my eye
So I took no heed.I kept on climbing,
I pushed away my fears,
It would be worth it,
All the blood and sweat
And tears. But when you saw how
The night sky was lit,
You pushed me off
Our ladder,
And took a star instead. You took our love and gave
It to that girl,
You forgot the one
Who loved you through
And through.Now I'm falling,
To the solid earth,
My heart is bleeding....And I ask myself,
What was my love worth?So... I know this is quite depressing, but I was moving on when I wrote this for my school magazine.
Anyhooo, hope y'all enjoyed it ;)
