Letting Go

You crashed our ship,
We were going down,
Gravity lashed us with her whip,
And we ended an explosion of rubble on the cold hard earth.

You walked away unscathed, walked away and didn't look back,
I was disoriented, bleeding and out of breath,
Stayed at the scene waiting for you to come back.

Now I'm facing the debris and I realise,
I can't rewrite the words of the past,
But I can decide what happens now,
I let go of the pain, left the place of the blast.
