"Hello?"
"Hey, phone girl."
"Muffin man? Didn't we just get off the phone?"
"Yeah, like two hours ago."
"Really? It's been that long?"
"Yeah. What have you been doing these past two hours that's kept you awake?"
"My AP biology homework. I'm exhausted but I just finished. What have you been doing? You said you hate staying up late."
"I wanted to ask you something. And I can't sleep."
"Okay, what is it?"
"Can you sing to me? I've never heard you sing before."
"What do you want me to sing?"
"Anything, I don't care. I just want to hear you."
"..."
"You're blushing aren't you?"
"...no..."
"You're so fucking adorable, Lila."
"Anyways, yeah I'll sing to you."
"Thank you, babe."
"Mhm. Ready?"
"Hold on.... there, I had to turn off my lamp."
"Okay, here we go...
I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight,
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right,
Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Love is like a shadow on me all of the time
I don't know what to do
And I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight."
"Beautiful. Completely fucking beautiful."
