The Move

"Is there something you would like to share Ms. Hodges?" Mr. Modlin asked. He made and over exaggerated laugh that got everyones attention.

"N....No Mr. Modlin." I said with embarrassment. 

"Shall I remind you all that there will be absolutely NO passing notes in my class? The nexr note i see in this room, it will be mine."

"Yes Mr.Modlin." we all said.

Mr. Modlin turned around right when I rolled my eyes. I turned towards Jake. "Soo... are you doing anything Frid-" and of course I was cut off by the bell.

"Sooooooo...." Kristin asked. We were in the middle of lunch and Jessica was getting in line for her food. "Soooooooo.... What?" I answered with another question. Kristin absolutely hated that. So i did it a lot. "Seriously? Please stop doing that. Now, HOW DID IT GO? With you and Jake?" Kristin said that anxiousness.

"Actually, it never happened....." I said with a sound of sadness. "I tried to ask but the bell rang."

"Come on Jessie. You have got to make your move! Jessica is going to get him if you dont take your rear end and ask him! How about you take him to the dance next week? All of us have a date except for you and Kristin! Kristin is going with Micheal and I'm going with Beau!" Kolbi exclaimed.

"Uh-Oh. You better hurry up Jessie. Jessica's making her way to Jake. GO.NOW!" exclaimed Erica. i ran through the lunchroom trying to get over there.And I made it -Just in Time-. 

"Hey Jake!" I said nervously. "So i was going to ask you something in Biology today but the bell rang. But here it goes... Are you doing anything Friday? Oh. And will you go to the Spring Fling Dance with me next Saturday?"

"No and Yes." He said. "I have nothing planned next Friday so I would love to do something then. And i would absolutely LOVE to go to the dance with you."

"OH YES! GREAT WONDERFUL! HALLELUJAH! Wait.... i mean Yay! Okay! Cant wait!" And then I walked away with pure embarrassment.
