Awaken

*Reginas P.O.V*

There was a cool breeze that brushed over Reginas smooth and elegant skin as she slept on her satin sheets. She groaned slightly as she fluttered her eyes open. She looked at her ceiling as she took a deep breath and smiled gently as she thought about Robin. She turned over onto her left side as she looked out onto her balcony. She saw the light gleaming through her chambers as she laid there and held onto her pillow. She watched as her curtain flowed gracefully in the breeze and her heart relaxed. she didn't think about her worries with Leopold. That was until she heard knocking on her wooden chamber doors. She groaned slightly as the knocking disturbed her relaxing and soothing silence. She slowly sat up as she gently placed a hand on her rib. For some reason it pained her. She knew that the night before Leopold didn't touch her. She was asleep and she would have woken up. No... there was something else wrong... but she didn't know what...

She looked towards the door as there was another knock on the doors. She sighed softly.

"You may enter..." she said loud enough for the person on the other side of the door to hear.

Regina looked at the doors as they were opened and she sighed with relief as she saw that it was just one of her maids. She saw the maid peeking into her chambers as she sat peacefully on her bed. The maid entered and she walked over to Regina and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.

"How are you feeling this morning, your majesty?..." She asked gently.

Regina looked at her and frowned and cleared her throat. She looked back down at her hands and she sighed.

"I've been better.... there is a sharp pain in my rib... and I dont know what it is...." she said gently gesturing to her rib.

The maid nodded and she softly laid Regina on her side to where her back is facing her and Regina groaned as she moved slowly. Regina laid there and felt as the maid moved Reginas night gown up a little passed her ribs and she felt the maid gently press her soft and cold fingers on her rib and Reginas body jerked forward from the pain.

"Sorry, your majesty...." she heard the maid say quickly.

There was an annoying amount of silence and Regina grew worried.

"What is it?.... is there something wrong?..." She asked and she tried to look over her shoulder.

She didn't hear the maid and she groaned as she turns over as she saw the maid covering her face with shock. Regina immediately grew worried.

"What?! What's wrong?!" She exclaimed growing scared and impatient.

The maid moved her hands from her face as Regina sat up.

"Your majesty.... you have a really bad bruise on your rib.... I hope that nothing is wrong." She heard the maid say and she sighed and placed a hand on her rib and frowned and she groaned.

"Get me my nurse please...." Regina said gently in pain.

"The king said for the nurse to not attend to you for a few weeks." She said gently and Regina looked at her confused.

"What?...what are you talking about?..." Regina said confused.

Regina knew that the king was mean towards her but she never thought that he would deny her any medical treatment that she needs. She teared up and clears her throat. She was feeling her anger growing inside of her soul and she hated the king. She clentched the sheets in her fists as she glared down as she thought of the king. The maid looked at her concerned. She felt the maid touch her shoulder and Regina snapped and she pushed the maid away. She felt some kind of power emerge from her body and she used her force and pushed the maid away.

The maid flew across the room and she smacked into the wall. Regina looked at her hands, not realizing what just happened. She was breathing heavily and she looked at her hands as she started to shake from fear. She looked up at the maid and she slowly got out of bed and forced herself to walk over to the maid and she kneeled down next the maid as she was on the floor. Regina frowned and helped the maid up.

"I'm so sorry... i-I don't know what happened...." she whispered scared.

The maid looked at Regina, her eyes were filled with fear. She looked at her and moved away from her and scrambled to her feet and she escaped from Regina and looked at her as she ran towards the door. Regina frowned and looked down at her hands.

"What's wrong with me?..." She asked herself as she looked around her room and heard the slamming of her chamber doors echo through her chambers. Regina hugged herself and she was frightened as she thought about the powers that her mother once wielded and she looked up with the realization that she, like her mother, had magic....magic which was awakened by her anger and hatred towards Leopold.

She felt an anger inside of her that she didnt like. An anger that made her heart feel heavy, cruel and evil thoughts started flowing through her head... she thought of thousands of different ways to slaughter him.... her husband..... king Leopold.
