Her feet loudly hit the cold pavement as Keira stormed through the hallways, barely acknowledging her surroundings.

She reached Fury's office and almost barked at the two guards that immediately stopped her from stepping forward. They didn't bulge, but her composed yells probably were heard from Fury because he appeared from the office with his eyes wide, until he spotted who was causing such mayhem.

"It's ok, let her in."

Almost forgetting she was talking with the head of SHIELD, Keira followed him in the office and slammed her hands on the table once he had sat down, screaming everything only with her angered eyes.

"Woah, this is the first time you actually show emotions." He observed, raising his eyebrows but sounding almost amused by her behavior.

Realizing it was actually true and she had to compose herself if she wanted to be heard from Fury, Keira cleared her voice and sat down, clenching her hands on her lap and staring straight at Fury.

"You're mad, this is obvious."

"You left me in there alone to deal with that psychopath. He could have killed me for all you knew." She was trying so hard not to yell, but it was just so difficult not to, considering the unbearable amount of anger boiling up in her chest.

"Did he, though?"

She shook her head. "No, but he tried."

Fury sighed heavily. "We were monitoring his every move, Keira. If things got too ugly we would have intervened immediately."

"He choked me!" She exclaimed, pointing at the throbbing bruise surrounding her neck, right where the Winter Soldier had placed his angry hands. "And it's the second time he does! I'm done with that freak."

"No, you're not."

Keira almost choked as she widened her eyes, her nails digging deep into her skin to avoid ripping Fury's face off.

"What?!"

"He visibly showed signs of progress after you helped him, but he still didn't talk. I think you can help him feel more comfortable and safe, and something tells me this can help you too."

Keira remained silent for a second, thinking back to what had happened, to what she had been forced to relieve once again.

"He made me see my father." She said through gritted teeth, quickly blinking back a treacherous tear.

Fury looked at her with pity, a feeling she was too used to see on other people, especially from him. She didn't think he particularly liked her, considering how peevish and emotionless she normally was, but he had admitted multiple times that he had taken a particular interest in her personal situation, which had led all the other guards in training to dislike her, thinking she was being somehow helped and she wasn't really worthy of being at SHIELD.
