 Opening my eyes to see I'm in the pack hospital I groaned and sat up. "You're awake" Matt said walking in with flowers and a guy holding a get well soon balloon. "This is Mr. Nowak he wanted to thank you for saving his life" shaking my head I frowned. "You shouldn't thank me. We were trapped and I passed out before getting you out of there."

 Tying the balloon to my bed Mr. Nowak shakes his head "From what I've heard. If you didn't push me out the way I would've been crushed and for that I am in your debt. If you need anything my dear just call me." giving me his business card he said his goodbyes and left.

Walking over to the foot of the bed Matt takes of the brace that was on my leg "You've fully  healed but since Mr. Nowak is human we had to put this on" "I have some bad news" looking at the floor he takes a deep breath "I have to let you go"....... What?

"What?"

 "Alpha's order. Once he heard what happened he flipped out and ordered me to fire you. I'm sorry." I was raging and before he could stop me I was out the door and on a hunt. I can't believe this asshole. Who the fuck do he think he is to keep me from being a firefighter. He's not my guardian anymore.

 Checking his office he wasn't there so I ran up to his room. Without knocking I slam open the door scaring the crap out of him and Marisol "What the-"

 "Why did you order Matt to fire me!" I growled walking closer to Jordan "and don't say 'because I said so'" getting up from the bed he walk towards me with Marisol right behind him. "Because you got hurt on your first day, first day! You're not ready for that kind of stuff and as the alpha I must look at the well being of all of my pack members." ready to smack the shit out of him Marisol got between us.

 "That's enough both of you need to calm down"  she said in a soft tone. Calming down I watch as she rub her hand up and down his arm to calm him down. Even though we're rejected it still hurts to see this. Giving her a quick kiss he looks at me and growled "Get out" flipping him off I left the couple alone.

"I'm sad to hear that. I knew how much you wanted to be a firefighter" after leaving the pack house I called Sara and explained what happened. Thankfully she was understanding and said that I could come in today.

 "Thank you for letting me work today. I need a distraction" looking behind me she smiled. "Well some say men are the best distraction" turning around to see who she was gawking at it was Isaiah looking at some clothes holding a little girl in his arm. Sister maybe? "Go help him" before I could protest she walks away to help someone else.

 Walking to him I put on my "I hate everyone, but I need this job" smile "Hi do you need any help?" looking up from a girl toddlers pink dress he smirks. "Yes you can beautiful. My sister tells me I don't spend time with the love of my life here, I decided to spoil her to death"  he said and kiss the little girl on the cheek causing her to giggle. "I'm having trouble picking out clothes. Maybe my future wife can find something"

 Rolling my eyes trying to hold back a smile I look at the angel he's holding. She had her hair in two curly puff balls with a olive green bow on top. She was wearing a matching olive shirt, dark blue jeans, and a jean jacket. "Hello gorgeous what's your name?" lifting her hands up in the air she yells "Diamond!" chuckling I asked Isaiah hold old was she.

Saying she was three I helped them pick out some clothes. Mostly warm clothes since it's starting to get cold with fall just around the corner. Scanning all of the clothes and shoes I told him the total "$369.70" swiping his card I gave him his receipt and wait for him to leave. Looking at the back he frowns.
