8. Invaders arrive part 2

All the boys knew that they had to hide before they were caught. Jordan led the five boys back to the very back room and put his pistol down on the table. ¨Can one of you help me move this please?¨ He asked in a whispered voice filled with urgency. He had a hold of a large bookshelf on one side. Rynan volunteered and helped him move the bookshelf to the side revealing a small door that led into a secret room. ¨Everyone in. Hurry.¨ Jordan said cautiously while looking around making sure nothing was watching them. The five boys obeyed and quietly went in the dark yet large room that was hidden behind the bookshelf. Rynan helped Jordan move the bookshelf back in front of the door and closed it and left it open slightly to keep some light in, and to look outside to see what was going on. 

Just outside that room, there was small thumping noises and things being knocked over. Small creatures with grey like color, pitch black eyes, four arms and disc shaped heads were wandering around the basement, looking at things they never seen before and that they found interesting yet looking for anyone hiding within the basement. 

Jordan kept an eye on the small creatures as it appeared to be four of them. The five boys caught small glimpses of the small alien creatures and their adrenaline and fear level reached another notch. Their secret room was perfectly hidden behind the bookshelf so it wasn't noticeable at all. The aliens were messing up papers, photographs, and any other possesions that were just laying around the basement in the open. The boys remained very quiet, some of them covering their mouths to keep quiet.

Unexpectedly, out of nowhere, the tripod outside the house let out a loud bellow to indicate that it was time to leave.

As the aliens heard the signal, the dropped whatever they were holding and made their way out of the basement through the ceiling where the probe was just a few minutes earlier. Once they were completely gone, Jordan turned so he was facing the boys.  "Its clear now." He said, then opened the door, letting the light in. The five boys sighed with relief as Rynan helped Jordan move the bookshelf once again so they all could move out of the dark room.

After cleaning up the basement, the boys went into the main room of the basement, and sat down on the couch and the floor.

Joe and Kevin sat on the floor as Phi, Phil and Rynan sat on the couch talking to one another for a bit. Jordan remained in the back room,  sorting things out and such. The five boys then calmed down, and messed around with each other like they usually did. Kevin and Rynan had another arm wrestling match, Phil was making beat box sounds while Phi and Joe took turns singing or rapping. Soon after a while it started getting late and the boys decided to call it a night and get some sleep for tomorrow. Jordan volunteered to watch the basement to make sure that the tripods didn't come search again. The five boys got settled in the center of the basement, with Phil and Rynan on the floor, Kevin and Joe against the couch as Phi slept on the couch. Pretty soon the night rolled on as all five boys fell asleep with Jordan keeping watch which soon turned into day as the sun slowly poured in through the partially covered windows.

When the boys woke up, it was really quiet. Phil and Rynan sat up and stretched, Kevin, Joe and Phi did the same then looked at one another before standing up and walked around the basement to move around and get active.

While walking around, Joe noticed a nearby tripod dealing with a captured male, who is struggling to get free from the tripods grip. Joe then noticed a small needle drop down from the tripod before witnessing it rapidly stab into the man who was held down on the ground by the tripod. From that moment, Joe flinched as the needle stabbed the guy and watched as the tripod drained his blood from him. Phi caught a glimpse of the same incident and covered his eyes for a minute before shaking his head for a few second then took a deep breath before putting his hands in his pockets in a somewhat terrified manner.

Joe shook off the event he witnessed and walked over to Phi and Rynan to talk with them to pass the time. Soon Phil and Kevin joined them after talking with Jordan.

"Man this is scary. I hope this over soon." Phi stated with his arms crossed across his chest while looking at the others. "Me too. We can overcome this guys. We just have to stick together and hope that everything will be fine." Phil replied while giving a reassuring pat to Phi's shoulder. Phi gave a small nod while the others agreed. "We can make it. It will just take some time." Kevin said, as Rynan nodded in agreement. "yeah, but for now, we just need to stay hidden." He said as the others agreed and talked for a little while longer until it started getting darker as the sun slowly lowered disappearing from view, engulfing the sky with a pinkish dark blue color.

Phil sat on the couch and laid back, putting his hat over his face and crossing his arms over his chest, falling asleep. Phi sat on the floor next to the couch, leaning against it, adjusting his hat before doing the same as Phil and falling asleep shortly after.

Joe and Rynan both laid on the floor while using their jackets as pillows. Jordan walked into the room and noticed that the boys were falling asleep as the night was rolling on. "Go ahead and get some rest. I'll watch the place." He offered while standing next to Kevin who was sitting on a foldable chair that was near the table. "No it's alright. I'm good for a little while. You can go ahead and get some rest. I wouldn't mind watching the place for you."Kevin replied while looking up at Jordan. "You sure?" Jordan asked as he looked over at Kevin with a somewhat concerned look. "Yeah, I'm sure. I don't mind watching the place." Kevin replied with a nod as Jordan then relaxed. "Alright. Thank you." Jordan replied and placed an axe on the table next to Kevin.

"Use that if anything comes down here." He said gesturing towards the axe he placed on the table with the blade facing the wall.

"Got it." Kevin said with a small nod, understanding the instructions that were given to him. Jordan gave small smile before walking into the back room and settled in for the night. Kevin then looked at the others and made sure that they were okay before looking around the now dark yet dimly lit basement, hoping that everything will be back to normal soon.
