Hayes Grier fanfic: After All

Chapter 9

Althea's POV:

I got ready for the day and I wore, black skinny jeans, my toms and a short sleeve dark purple Hollister shirt, and my hair was up like the 'usual'.

I went downstairs and Andrea,Anna,Jen and Maria were already in the living room all ready while they were on their phones. Mae had called earlier today and she said she stayed with jack because of the hard storm. Jack as in (AKA, mr athletic)

"Took you long enough" Andrea said,
"It's my second day here in LA. I gotta get use to the sun waking me up at 9 am every single day" I said,
We laughed. The doorbell rung and Andrea opened it. Jeff, Hayes, chandler and raffy came in, wearing different clothes than when they were here earlier.
"So where does Haley live?" I asked,
"Well. She lives in an apartment up town, near the apartment Jen and Andrea use to live in"
"Green aisle you mean?" Jen corrected,
"Yeah there"
"Well let's go then!" Jeff said as he took Maria's hand and exited the door.

Andrea locked the door as we all went to Jeff's car, which was a van in my opinion. But Jeff preferred it to be called a "car"

"Jeff, there's 7 seats" Anna said,
"So?"
"There's 9 of us."I said
Jeff looked around, and he realized what the problem was.
"I guess 2 people will have to sit in someone's lap" Jeff said,
"I'll take Anna" chandler said, as he wrapped his arms around Anna's waist and pulled her closer to him. She laughed,
"And who else?" Andrea said,
Everyone looked around and their eyes landed on Hayes and I.
"Well?" They all said in unison.
"No problem with me" Hayes said,
I sighed. "Alright let's Go"
"There's the spirit!" Jeff joked.

We all got into the car just as planned, Maria sat in front in the passengers seat beside Jeff who was driving. Raffy and Jen sat in the middle seats with chandler, Anna sat on chandler's lap. Andrea and Hayes sat in the back, while I sat on hayes's lap.

"I don't want any babies born in this car" Jeff said, as he took his eyes off the road for a quick second to look at chandler and Anna. We all laughed,

The ride was long and mostly filled with quiet. During the silence hayes wrapped his arms around me silently, and I looked at him. He smiled at me, i smiled back. I liked this moment.

"Greaaat, I'm third wheeling" Andrea said, as she looked at Hayes and I. Everybody turned their heads towards the back where we were. "Awwww" Jen said,
"Hayes getting some" chandler joked, I nudged him from behind and we all laughed.

Hayes's POV:

I liked having her on my lap, no, not in the sexual way. But the way it was easy for me to wrap my arms around her, to have her turn around and smile at me. Just to be able to hold her and never let her go. Like I was protecting her, something that I've always wanted to do. Just like last night when we were in bed together, no sex, no nothing, just wrapping my arms around her and being able to protect her, was fine with me. And protecting her felt better than anything else
