Chapter 41 A day at the beach.

Katie (POV)

I woke up on a hard and cold metal bed. I got worried that Ross was bit next to me by a reflex. A sweet voice interuppted my think session. It was Ross. "Morning babe. How'd you sleep?" he asked. "Terrible. " we both laughed. "Me too. Haha. My mom will be here in 30 minutes want to go get breakfast?" he asked. "Yes. McDonald's sounds delicious. " I said. "Well we might want to go so we can make it. "

*25 minutes later*

Ross (POV)

The breakfast was great. Even though our sleep wasn't. I was just glad I was with Katie now. We arrived back at the jail and grabbed our stuff to see my mom waiting for us outside. "MOM!" I scream. Everyone calls me a mommas boy but I don't see it. "Rossy!" she says. "We have a day to waste till we leave tonight so what to you guys want to do ?" I ask Katie and my mom. "THE BEACH!!" they both scream. "Okay okay. Geez calm down you two. " I chuckle. "We all don't have bathing suits. Ross.and I don't have any more money either. " Katie says. "That's okay. I'll buy you guys some! " my mom offers.

*20 minutes later. *

Katie (POV)

We just arrived at the bathing suit store. It was right on the beach. We walked in and Ross ran around the store like a child. It was cute in a way. "Calm down. " I say laughing. "Party pooper!" he says tickling me. "Oh that's it. " I say chasing him all around. "Quit it you lovebirds" Stormie says. I actually start looking for a bathing suit. I see a great one and I try it on. It fits perfectly and I come out. Ross was staring at me like a sick puppy. I must have looked better than I thought. "Ross stop drooling! It looks great Katie !" Stormie says. Ross looks embarrassed. He waited for me to move and then tried on his shorts. He even took off his shirt. When he came out I swear I was now drooling. I acted casual by looking away but I couldn't resist. I looked and got addicted. "Looks good! Oh gosh now Katie is drooling !" Stormie says. My face was probably as red as a tomato. We all laughed and then bought the clothes. We changed in the car taking turns. Stormie didn't buy a bathing suit. She said she didn't want to swim. She laid in the sand. "You two go have fun on the beach!" she said. I smiled at her. Ross took my hand and we started walking. He pulled me towards the water. He picked me up then threw me in the water. I went under and it felt so great. I ran after him and grabbed him and I dunked him under a few times. "Gobyssj.. yossdas.. storngwjsj." he mumbled. "What?" I say not dunking him anymore. "I said gosh your strong. " he said. I tackled him but he was stronger than me so he was now dunking me. This was such a great day. "Let's go pour water in Stormie!" I said devilishly. "Okay !" he said. We grabbed some kids bucket and filled it with water. We walked over to Stormie and Ross said "Mom can I see your phone?" "Sure." she said. Now that she didn't have her phone I picked up our bucket and dumped it on her. Her face was priceless. Me and Ross laughed for what seemed like ages. "You guys never grew up did you?" Stormie said smiling. "We have to get going. Want to go eat?" she asked. "YESS!" we screamed.

*15 minutes later *

Ross (POV)

We all washed the sand sticking to out bodies off. This was one of the best days of my life. We walked to a small restaurant on the beach. We sat down at a table and a group of girls came up to me for my signature. They were nice, which was good. Some actually took some selfies with Katie. She was definitely enjoying the attention. The server came and ave us our food and shooed away the girls. I ordered a chicken sand which with fries and a Root beer. Katie had a cheeseburger with fries too. She had water for a drink. My mom had a small chicken salad with a water to go with it. After we were done it was about 6. We decided to just start driving now. It was about an 11 hour drive. I was just happy I got to spend it with my two favorite girls in this world.
