A Jeric Tale

(Chapter 1) First Day

It was the first day of high school and Jasmine sighed as she saw many couples hold hands and kiss each other...

She knew a wolf would never find love...she went to her locker and put her stuff away when she saw Eric...she hasn't seen him since 6th grade and she turned red!!

There was just something about him she couldn't ignore! He turned around and saw that she was red! She gasped and hit her head on the locker! She was flushed with embarrassment! She shut her locker and went to the park.

There was still 21 minutes before class started so she called Denisse, Emily and Jessica over to have a talk before class started. After a few minutes they all arrive.

"Woah did you hit yourself in the face? Why is your face so red??" Denisse asks laughing a bit. "Yeah it's redder than usual does a boy have to do anything with it?" Emily said flipping her hair. "Could it perhaps be Eric?" Jessica asks giggling!

"Guys shut up!! We haven't talked since 6th grade! I just hit my face that's all!" I reply with some smack. "Oh. Hehe okay guys time for our BOY discussions. Anyone have a crush yet?" Denisse asks with a smug face.

"Nah I'm not looking for a man grades come first." Jessica said taking a book out. "Hmm that's tough you see Andy asked me out but I like Kaiden or do I like Andy.." Emily thought to herself. "I haven't found the right one for me yet but I will soon!!" Denisse proudly said.

"What about you Jasmine?" They all asked me. "Uh..well I guess...uhh...Eric..I sorta like him not a lot.." I said hiding my face so they couldn't see me blush.

"Hehe! You should talk to him!" Emily said with a sassy look. "Yeah you two are goals JERIC!!" Denisse screamed out loud. "Jeric for life." Jessica quietly said.

"You know what maybe I will!" I said grabbing my stuff and getting ready for 1st period. Everyone grabbed their stuff and we headed on down to the high school right before the bell rang. I have Denisse in first period so we walked together and guess who I saw!!

It was Eric!! Denisse glanced over at me and raised her eyebrows I shoved her and she laughed. We sat down all the way in the back and Denisse wasn't paying attention she was too busy reading...I look around to see no one is paying attention so I grab my earbuds and listen to some music.

After a few minutes I take them off and secretly look at where Eric is sitting he's sitting next to a girl...at first I don't care until she grabbed his arm and tried to make a move but Eric rejected her!

I shake my head and continue listening to music. I glance over at Denisse to see that she's asleep with a book on her face. I chuckle and see that the teacher is staring at me. I quickly take the earbuds out and listen. "Jasmine mind coming up and answer this problem." The teacher asks handing me the marker.

I see that everyone is looking over at me and I turn around and look at the question. -What is 58 x 21=?- I laugh at first and then do the math in my head "The answer is simple. It's clearly 1,218." I say putting the marker down the teacher smiled at me and I went back to my seat.

"Bravo Miss. Smart Ass." Denisse says clapping for me. "Gee thanks your very helpful." I say putting my earbuds back on. After 28 minutes first period is over! We grab our stuff and head on to second period on our way out I bump into Eric!! "Omg!! I'm so sorry I didn't see you!" I say picking his papers up.

"It's okay here let me help." He says picking my books up I say thanks and realize I dropped my phone too! I picked it up and realize Eric put his number in my phone!!
