I haven't heard from my father in two days, that's the longest he's ever gone without texting or calling me.
I wasn't a fool thought, I had a feeling he had men looking out for me since I bought my own little house down in San José, California.
Although it was almost three hours from where my Dad lives, I was contented even though I wanted to be as far from him as possible, but this would have to do for now.
I had decorated and designed the modern-ish house that had an ancient feel to it. It was bright on the inside and had plenty bright flowers on the sidewalk.
It was the best deal in town, not that I couldn't afford to pay, I could buy anything I pleased but I bought it because I loved it from the beginning and it would keep me from any form of suspicion.
Low profile was my new thing now.
After a few hours of cleaning and rearranging my furniture and other household stuff, I retired for the day.
It was a few hours into the midnight hours when my phone buzzed, alarming a new text message.
Putting my pistols on the coffee table with all my other weapons, I took a break from cleaning them.
