Ava.
"What are you doing in California?"I asked, my suspicion spiking new heights.
Avery sat on my sofa, a beer in his hand and the television was showing Grey's Anatomy.
My show.
He looked up, his eyebrows raised as he looked at my gun, then his eyes flickered to my enraged face.
"You don't sound too happy to see me." Avery pouted, his eyes alert.
I hadn't moved from my spot at the door, I kept my eyes on him at all times.
Avery couldn't be trusted, not after he killed my Porsche.
The douche wrecked my car a while back, he made me promise to trust him and I did, and my little Piper was killed because of his wrecklessness.
I glanced up, just in time to see Tarick coming from the kitchen, drinks in his hands.
"Whoa, Ava stand down." he started, glancing at my weapons.
I shook my head, pointing at Avery with my gun as Tarick carefully walked towards me.
"What is he doing in my house?" I asked.
I was now fully upset, at my father, Tarick, Avery and even myself.
I had no reasons to be mad but I was. I know I needed help, but not any good,strong-minded therapist would want to sit and hear me blabber about my life stories.
"I invited him, it's only for two days." Tarick mumbled.
He invited him? In my house!
I glared at him, a sick laugh following it as I waved my gun around.
"You've got to be kidding me", I laughed, turned to Avery and asked, "he's high right, you brought more of that stuff?"
I didn't wait for an answer that sure wasn't going to come.
I sobered up quickly, my anger resurfacing, "listen here Rick, you need to get him out of my house in five minutes or I swear i-"
Avery held up his hand.
Stopping me from my train of though as I spoke.
"Stop. I'm not here to wreck havoc. I'm here to visit my buddy." he said pointing at Tarick in the end.
"Well, visit him somewhere else." I snapped.
I pulled my hand down, Avery is a man of his words, even if he decided to attack me, I'd have him killed with the rifle on my back.
Let's hope he's not that stupid.
"Ava please, you know your father will kill both of us if we went to a bar in his territory." Tarick reasoned.
I shrugged, "Then die for all I care. I don't care what Danté does in his territory." I said.
It wasn't my place to snoop in my father's business, to know what he does behind closed doors.
