Happy reading...

Ava.

For a few days, I stayed in my house. Going against my father's commands and setting myself at risk for a brutal punishment the next time I visited. I wouldn't say I was expecting what transpired, I was more hurt than surprised.

Trusted Tarick to be honest enough yet the only way I knew of his wife was through unforseen circumstances.

Men are liars, cheaters, and in my books......freaking disgusting beasts.

I should've known something was up. I knew something was amiss but pleasure had clouded my mind for those hours of his surprise return.

My phone rang for as long as I can remember, yet I sat with my weapons scattered across my coffee table and stared off to the far wall.

Mentally. I've been messed up for a long time.

Physically, I was okay, not 100% from the pain of my fists, but i've felt what true pain is.

My eyes drifted towards my left, where there was an obvious hole in the wall.

The memories were fresh in my head. The hurt and disappointment ruined my better judgement, but soon i'll be back to normal.

Finding the courage to release my stress, I stood and discarded the empty wine bottle in the trash can. I rechecked to make sure everywhere was tightly sealed.

Better safe than sorry, right?

Walking into my bedroom, I grabbed my laptop and my duffle bag. This has to end tonight before I go on a killing spree.

"Silent and Quick Ava." I mumbled quietly.

I moved swiftly, making my way to my weapons that lay sprawled on the table. Smiling instantly, I placed my laptop down and began to open my bag, stuffing the weapons and finishing quickly.

My sneakers were at the door, so I made quick work of putting it on and grabbing my bag and laptop.

With that, I left and made my way to my car. Opening it and resting my stuff inside.

"Ava." I tensed, reaching to grab my gun.

I heard footsteps behind me, yet I didn't speak.

Turning around slowly, recognition shown on my face as i'm face to face with Dante's ragdolls.

"Chase, what are you doing here?" I questioned the redhead.

The blonde, Jaxon kept glancing over my shoulder. I raised my gun and turned slightly.

Their van, the light flashed once and I gave a slight nod to the guys inside.

I turned to the two. My eyebrows raised.

"I take it my father sent you." It was obvious. Especially at this time of night.

Chase takes a step close and I raised my gun to his head.

"If you even attempt to drug me with that," i pointed to the small needle in his jacket, "i promise to put you out of your misery." i warned.

Jaxon chuckles but doesn't move from his spot.

My father probably didn't tell them how skilled and intelligent I am. I knew something was up the minute I exited my house.

I saw this coming, my father is a control freak and I know it's driving him crazy because he can't get a hold of me.
