** I wrote this chapter while chilling in my bedroom with my cat, sick as a dog, drinking lemon Earl Grey tea by the gallon practically. Was also listening to Cheap thrills by Sia.
It kind of fits if you are really paying attention to Reader-chan/ Blue shadow's attitude towards heroism. She isn't exactly the traditional sort of hero in the sense that she apprehends the villains and then lets the cops handle em. Nope. She'll kill em. Plain and simple. Not to say that she has NO sense of morality because she does. She's just... selectively good... Got her own code of conduct and she doesn't really respect The Man that much(meaning authority, in general).  Think Dean Winchester. She's totally teetering in between Chaotic Neutral and Chaotic Good if we're going off of a D n D moral alignment thing. You'll see a bit more of it in this chapter along with a little more Flug! (because we all love a little nerdy cinnamon roll in our lives:3)**

"Uuuurgh GO. The light was green you stupid-ass!" Jade groaned, honking her horn vigorously at the car in front of them.

A single hand brandishing a middle finger poked out of the drivers side window, making Jade retaliate with both of hers and another firm honk of defiance.

(Y/n) merely twirled a lock of hair around her index finger again and gazed out of the window at a sight that she must've seen countless times before, yet still chose to look at with intrigue.
Jade groaned again and ran a hand through her meticulously curled hair irritably before gunning past the slow driver, being sure to flash the middle finger all the way past them.

"Ugh. Sometimes I don't know why I even bother to drive. Can't you just use your cool freaky Carrie powers to teleport us there?"

(Y/n) shrugged and cast her friend a dry look.

"Yeah, probably. Wouldn't be very inconspicuous though. " she replied.

"Meh, you Superheroes and your secret Identity complexes. Jeez, what gives with that? Isn't that a little old fashioned main stream for your tastes?"

"It exists for a reason, J. I don't need the mob or every Chicken-shit Joker wannabe knocking on my mum's door whenever I start busting their shit up. Besides, the old man would be pissed. " the (h/c) female replied stoically, stifling a yawn.

Jade's light hearted expression shifted to one of concern.

"You okay? You haven't been looking too good for the past few days. "

(Y/n) chuckled sardonically and changed the song blasting in the ear that had the head phone over it.

"Eh. Studying. The world don't stop turning just because you gotta leave the house at 11 p.m. to chase down some Scumbag who robbed the neighborhood Mapco."

Jade only slightly chuckled at this and yet sighed, grey eyes still flashing in concern.

"Seriously, (Y/n)... You good?"

"I'll make it. " was the Hero's reply before going back to staring out of the window aimlessly.

A huff of frustration left the female's throat and she shook her head, her perfect pin curls slightly swishing as she did so.

"When have you EVER been able to lie to me? "

"J, for real. I'm gonna be fine. I've been doing this for over a year now. Crime-fighting, school, personal shit and all and If that doesn't prove just how capable I am to you people, I'm all out of ideas. I'm not breaking any time soon. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever. " (Y/n) said almost coldly, internally flinching at the bite to her voice.

She hadn't meant for it to sound that curt but still, she couldn't deny that she was annoyed.
A lot of people doubted her.
Even if they didn't know the entirety of what she did like old man Shield and Jade did, it still irritated and offended (Y/n) beyond belief.
For the two former, it was even more insulting considering how they DID know just what all she did and despite it possibly being concern, the female just couldn't stand it.
