Victoria sat in her car at Dallas's house. They both sat there, the engine turned off, and in silence. Dallas hadn't gotten out of the car yet, he actually didn't make any move to get out of the car.

Victoria wasn't watching him, or the way she could see his toned chest and arms through his shirt. Or how nice his legs looked in his pants. No she had noticed this all while she was driving and sneaking peeks at him. Her attention was on his house, and how it didn't seem to match him.

He lived in one of the fancier, richer neighborhoods. His house was as big as Victoria's and then some. Her house would fit in his at least twice, with room to spare.

Out to the side sat a four car garage, with a long straight driveway leading to the street. An older black mustang sat in the driveway off to the right side. Two huge oak trees sat in the front of the house. Three large columns held up the white porch that was the whole front of the house, and was framed with brick walls on either side. A bright cherry red door sat happily in the middle of the porch. Flowers aligned the front of the porch and around the two trees. More flowers hung from pots above the porch railing. The house seemed to be three stories and Victoria could almost bet that it also had a basement. From the angle that they were on the street she could see the backyard had a in ground pool.

Victoria sighed and looked out her window at the other houses. She felt odd being here, she knew she didn't belong. Not that she didn't have a nice house and nice things, but this was the neighborhood for doctors and lawyers. Her neighborhood was for people that made a living, just not this much.

Her car fit in with the area, but it was just a present. It wasn't even her mother that got the car for her. Her asshole of a father gave it to her when she turned sixteen a few months ago. The dude had skipped out on her whole family without so much as a reason why. Then out of no where when her brother turned sixteen he gave Ricky a car, then it was her turn. The only call she ever recieved from him was to find out her dream car. And a dream car it was. She hated him with a passion, but she was in love with her car.

Dallas shot her a questionable look. "You don't want to go home either, do you?" She asked once she came out of her flashbakcs. He shook his head to which she wasn't surprised. She knew how he felt.

"You don't either?" His voice crawled through to her in the silence of the car. He had voiced exactly what she was thinking.

She shook her head too and without thinking she rubbed her stomach. Dallas noticed. "Does your stomach hurt?" he asked startling her.

She stared at him. Her eyes felt as if they were as big as her face. How was she supposed to answer that?! Was she to lie or tell him the truth? She liked him, even after only being with him for a short time, and she didn't want to ruin their friendship. She didn't think that she should tell him about the baby just yet, she didn't trust him that much.

"You could say that" she answered hoping he wouldn't push her further on the subject. She turned the key to look at the time on the radio, then shut the car off again.

"I'm sorry if your in a hurry, I could go. Truth is I didn't want to leave your company and go inside to an empty house yet again." He started to move to get out.

Victoria laid a hand on his forearm, softly, to stop him. "No, its okay. You can stay. If you want you can come over for dinner. Or we can go get some together. But only if you want." Did she really just ask that? She wasn't one to bring something up like that, let alone make the plans to do something.

He smiled, again taking her breath away. "That sounds awesome." She smiled back and leaned over and hugged him. It felt... right. He seemed to welcome it this time, as he hugged her back. She felt the warmth spread from him and onto her. She loved being warmed up by another person, it was so much better than a blanket doing the job.

She put her car into drive and turned around. As she drove back towards her house, she wondered how he would take it if he knew she was pregnant. Would he still want to be friends, or whatever they are/ were going to be.

Little did she know this dinner would go to hell in 0.3 seconds.
