6-Hidden Love

"Ready to open the scrolls?" Shikamaru asks us. Ino and Choji nod in agreement, but I ignore him and continue to lean on the wall.

Shikamaru opens one scroll and Choji opens the other one. White smoke emerges from the scrolls.

"It's a summoning jutsu," Shikamaru informs us as him and Choji place the scrolls down and move away from them. It was Asuma.

"Hey, congratulations on finishing the second part of the exam!" Asuma appears from the smoke and congratulates us, expecting us to cheer with happiness, but we're all to exhausted to celebrate.

"What are you doing here, Asuma?" Asks Choji.

"I am here to congratulate you of course!" Asuma replies, "Well, you all finished the test before the 5 day time limit expires, who wants to go and eat!" Shouts Asuma with excitement as he fist pumps the air.

"Yeah!!!" Choji agrees.

"Well, we haven't exactly had a good meal in the forest, I'm in." Shikamaru agrees.

"Sure, I have nothing else to do," agrees Ino. Then they all stare at me, waiting for my answer.

"I-" I say but I get cut off.

"You're coming with us whether you want to or not, Kumori," says Asuma with a smile, "Now let's go!"

After all of that, I wanted to spend some time alone, but I guess Asuma has other plans for me.

We go back to the hidden leaf village and enter a Barbecue restaurant. Asuma looks nervously at Choji, worried that Choji will make his wallet barren, and Asuma was right to worry. Choji devoured everything. I felt lucky to even get a bite in.

"Choji, slow down!" shouts Ino, but he ignores her.

"And here I thought that Kumori was the fastest one on the team," says Asuma, "The next test will be difficult, but for now let's celebrate your current success!" Asuma grabs his cup and holds it out, then everyone but me grabs their drinks and clings them together.

"Hey Kumori," Says Ino, turning her attention to me, "we ran into Sakura while searching for you."

"Searching for her?" asks Asuma with interest on the topic.

"Yeah Kumori, why don't you tell Asuma what you did," says Shikamaru with a serious tone, but I don't say a word. "Fine, then ill tell him," announces Shikamaru, "She thought that she was to good for us and ran off to find the scrolls by herself."

"Is this true, Kumori?" Asks Asuma, expecting a response but I simply close my eyes and take a sip from my drink. "What were you thinking!" He shouts in anger and frustration, but I don't even bother looking at him. What does he know about me? nothing. "You could have been killed!"

"But I didn't," I respond quickly as I look at him with seriousness.

"Quit acting so tough, Kumori," Ino Utters, "Sakura told us what a kind and caring person you are on the inside,"

"Is that so?" Asuma questions.

"Yeah, she told us how Kumori helped her when Sasuke and Naruto were out cold," Choji mumbles because of all that food in his mouth.

"She also collected the scrolls all by herself," admitted Ino. Asuma then stares at me with surprise. I can't help not smirking right now.

"You guys have 2 days before we must return to the chunin exams" states Asuma. "Well, no offense," he says as he stands up, "but you guys look like you could use a shower."

"Your right," agrees Ino as she stands up and leaves, "later!" she shouts as she walks out.

"Well, better get going to," Asuma casually tries to walk out, but I grab his shoulder, making him stop. He sweat drops as he looks at the paper that I'm holding up to him. Its the bill for the food. "But...but there's way to many digits on that number!" he cries out as he looks in his wallet.
