All I can see is darkness all around me, surrounding me at every angle. I hear distant, almost inaudible murmuring in the distance. My parents have taught me many things, like how to speak politely, how to use various ninjutsu and how to be kind and caring to others, but all of that goes out the window because they forgot to teach me one important thing, one thing that I'll have to live with growing up.... How to deal with solitude.... How to be alone never feeling any love ever again. No one to hold you in their arms in your time of need.

"EEK!!!" I shriek as I jolt awake due to a loud slam which emerged right in front of me. Everything is a little hazy, but I eventually realize that I'm in trouble. I hear giggling all around me as I stare up from my seat at my sensei, Iruka, who doesn't seem pleased.

"Kumori, why are you sleeping in my class?" Iruka asks impatiently, holding a book down on my desk which he cruelly slammed to wake me up. I've never fallen asleep in class before, I always get enough sleep thanks to mother and her strict rules.

"I- I'm so sorry Iruka sensei!" I quickly rise out of my seat, but as soon as I stand, my pencil falls off my cheek and plunges onto my table. Oh no! The class erupts with laughter, and even Iruka is forced to crack a slight smile. I must have fallen asleep on my pencil and it stuck to my cheek without my knowledge, leaving a mark on my skin. My face turns red from embarrassment as the class continues laughing at my misfortune. The only person that isn't laughing is my friend, Sasuke, who gives me a concerned look from his distant seat.

"That's enough!" Iruka raises his voice as the class begins to quite down. I'm so ashamed that all I can do is keep my head down and avoid eye contact with anyone.

"I'll let this slide since you're usually a good student, but next time, try to get more sleep before class," Iruka informs me as he walks back to the front to continue his lecture. I quickly sit back down and bury my face in a book to hide my embarrassment. I can feel them looking at me, how annoying. Iruka continues to ramble from the front of the class, which seems to make everyone forget about my incident.

Suddenly a piece of crumpled paper bounces off the back of my head and falls to the floor as I hear quite snickering from the back of the class. My embarrassed expression quickly turns into an angry one as I turn around to see who threw it at me. I spot Kiba and Naruto pointing at each other in the back with huge, mischievous grins on their faces. Do they think that because of one incident with the teacher that I'd join their little 'trouble-makers club?'  And sensei has good enough eye sight to catch me sleeping, but not to see an enormous ball of paper hurling across the class and colliding with my head?! I give them a furious glare as they begin to sweat and hurriedly fix their postures. Huh? They're not even making eye contact with me anymore. I stare at them with a confused expression as they continue to maintain a perfect posture and avoid eye contact.

"Kumori, eyes to the front of the class!" Iruka shouts, as I gasp and quickly turn my attention away from the mischievous boys and towards Iruka, who is standing in front of my desk once again.

"S-sorry sensei!" I utter through my embarrassment as I pick up my book and pretend to be following along once again. Iruka sighs as he heads back to the front of the class and continues his lecture once again. This is unfair! Kiba and Naruto should be getting yelled at, not me! Oh please let this class end so I can go home already! I've had enough humiliation for one day. I'm a good student! I've never gotten in trouble once, let alone twice in a single day. I'm just glad my parents won't be hearing of this, I don't wanna disappoint them, that and I'll never hear the end of it from mother.

Just then, another ball of crumpled paper hits the back of my head, and something within me erupts, like a bomb that has ticked to its last second. I immediately turn around and violently toss my book across the class, clobbering Kiba in the head, forcing him to fall back from his chair as the entire class begins gasping.
