Chapter Two

I put everything away in my locker and walked towards the cafeteria, since it was lunch time.

I opened the door to the cafeteria and as always it was noisy with teenagers talking and laughing amongst each other.

I walked to my table that was in the far way corner and sat down beside my two best friends. Matt Seto and Natalie Chords. Matty and I knew each other since kindergarten, while me and Natalie knew other since grade 3.

"Why do you look so sad?" Natalie asked as she scooted her chair over to mine so she was sitting beside me.

"Who needs to get their fucking ass beaten?" Matt asked with a serious look on his face.

"Matty language" I said shaking my head.

"English"

"What?"

"Ugh nothing" He said dramatically.

"Drama queen" Natalie muttered under her breath.

"Matty you k-

"For the billionth time April. Do not call me Matty. It ruins my reputation", He said with a wink.

"Do you even have a reputation to protect?" Natalie asked.

Matt's cheeks turned a slight pink in embarrassment. I giggled and looked around to see Tori looking in my direction and laughing. I frowned at her and looked back at my friends.

"Guys, I'm gonna go get something to eat" I said before standing up and walking to the lunch line.

I had made it half way through the cafeteria when I heard someone call my name. I turned around to be met with my worst nightmare. Tori.

"Where do you think your going?" She asked with a hand on her hip.

To get my self something to eat you bitch. Of course I didn't say that out loud. I didn't have the nerves to, so instead I said this

"T-To g-get something to e-eat" I stuttered. I waited for her to throw a rude comment at me, but she didn't, instead she looked at the cafeteria door.

The whole room had gotten so silent that if you dropped a pin you could've heard it. I glanced at the door only to get butterflies in my stomach, and have my heart pound against my chest. Walked in was Aaron Carter, someone who had always made my heart pound and make butterflies fill my stomach since middle school. I've had a crush on him since grade 5. A crush that never seemed to fade away.

He ignored everybody and walked towards the lunch line. If everybody was staring at me like that I would've been peeing my pants.

Tori quickly smoothed her skirt out and bated her eyelashes before turning to Cindy as if asking her if she looked fine, which to Cindy nodded.

"You look gorgeous!" Cindy exclaimed. No she doesn't.

"Don't I always" Tori said proudly before sprinting off to the lunch line. She stood behind Aaron, expecting him to look back at her. Which totally didn't happen. He got his food and walked off to his popular table without looking back. After Tori realized what had happened, she bated her eyelashes once more before getting her food and walking past me not before giving me a push.

I managed to not fall, and walked over to the lunch line and got my food.

"He's such a douche" Matt said shaking his head and digging into his food.

"Who?" I asked.

"Aaron of course" Matt said in a duh tone.

"Why?" I asked.

"He just is" Matt said, not really answering my question.

I was wondering why Matt called Aaron a douche and why he hates him when I felt a hand smack the back of my head.

"Ouch" I whined looking at Matt. "Why'd you do that?" I asked rubbing the back of my head.

"Natalie called you so many times but you didn't answer", Matt replied.

"Sorry" I muttered before turning to Natalie.

"So, as I was saying" Natalie said continuing what she had to say to me. I was listening to her quietly when I felt a hand grab something from my plate. I quickly grabbed my brownie back from Matt and held it close to my heart.

"Do. Not. Touch. My. Brownie" I growled angrily at him.

"Aye chill" he said putting his hands up in defense. I rolled my eyes at him and grabbed his chocolate.

"What the fuck" he yelled.

I shrugged at him before swallowing the chocolate and saying "You weren't eating it, so I thought why not."

Natalie laughed at Matt's expression earning a glare from him.

"Your lucky, I'm sparring you" Matt said.

"Or, what were you going to do?" I asked raising my eye brow at him.

We both glared at each other but eventually erupted into laughter. What can I say, best friends are just like this.
