Kaylee's POV
I automatically realize who is standing behind me.
"D-Dad. What are you doing here?" I say.
When I was younger, my dad used to abuse me and be really mean to me. I am scared as fuck right now that he is going to take me and hurt me. I told Hayes the entire story yesterday about my dad and stuff. I see Hayes turn around with our ice cream in his hand. As soon as he sees my dad behind me, he drops the ice cream to the floor and runs up to me and my dad.
"Get away from her." Hayes says.
"Hayes, I can handle this. Just go buy us more ice cream and I will take care of him." I say.
"No Kaylee." he looks from me to my dad. "Gat away from her now, or I am going to call the cops."
"Hayes! I can handle it!" I say getting a little annoyed.
"No Kaylee. It's okay. I have to get going now anyway. We can finish this conversation another time." My dad says.
He walks out of the ice cream place and when I see him pull out and pull around a corner, I turn back to Hayes.
I sigh and walk out of the shop and find a bench and sit down.
I hear someone sit next to me and look over and see Hayes staring at me.
"Why are you mad at me?" Hayes asked.
"Hayes! I could've taken care of him. Instead, you had to go and make a scene in the ice cream place." I say, almost in tears.
"I just was trying to keep you safe. I care about you and I didn't want him, or anyone for that matter, to hurt you."
By this time, I am bawling my eyes out. Hayes wraps his arms around me and I lay my head on his shoulder.
"It's okay... I'm here. I will never let anyone hurt you." Hayes whispers into my ear.
I stop crying and we sit like that for a couple of minutes. I look up into his beautiful blue eyes. Hayes looks at me and then he kisses me on the forehead.
Emily's POV
I jump into Cameron's car and we start driving to my dad's house. He is currently dating Kim. She is really nice and buys us a ton of things and she has 2 daughters. One daughter is 16 just like me and her name is Jenna. Sheis really funny. Her other daughter is 18 and her name is Jamie. She is an ASS! She bullies me and Lucy and she sometimes bullies my friends. She called my one if my best friends from school, Joey, gay. And he is definitely no gay. My dad always tells me to just slap her when she bullies me but I don't, being the wimp that I am. Jamie even has a crush on Cameron and if she ever, I mean EVER, touches him, I will fucking kill her. Maybe not literally, but I will definitely ruin her.
My dad's house is about 20 minutes away so I grab my phone and play flappy birds on it. Cameron grabs my hand and holds it.
"Nooo!! You just made me die!" I whine.
"Sorry babe. I just wanted you to hold my hand."
"I know how you can make it up to me..."
"How?"
"You can buy me a coffee from Starbucks!!"
"Ummm... okay!"
We pull into Starbucks about 10 minutes later and we get back in the car after I get a coffee.
"Thank you baby! I love you!!" I say and kiss him on the cheek.
"Do you only love me because I bought you Starbucks or do you love me for me?" Cameron says and smiles at me.
"I love you because you have beautiful eyes and an amazing smile. Your funny, hot, smart, and you can make me feel something that I can't feel with anybody else."
I smile at Cameron and he smiles back. I lay my head on his shoulder and he takes my coffee.
"WOAH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT?" I pretty much scream and Cameron laughs at me.
"I payed for it, I get to drink it."
I start to fake cry and Cameron looks at me and takes a sip and smiles.
"Babe, don't cry. I will bye you more tomorrow."
"Okay!"
We pull into my dad's driveway. Jamie is the only one here and I am so mad about that.
Cameron's POV
When we pull into Emily's driveway, we see that Jamie is the only one here. I personally hate Jamie and so does Emily.
"Hey I'm going to go upstairs and shower. I'll be right back." Emily says and walks upstairs.
I sit on the couch and turns he TV on. Jamie sits next to me so I move to the end of the couch and she moves closer. When I look at Jamie to tell her to move away, she leans in and kisses me. It was horrible. I push her away and then I hear a gasp and turn and see Emily crying. Jamie has a huge smile on her face.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!?" Emily screams. I thought she was talking to me and then I see her run up to Jamie and slap her REALLY hard on her cheek.
Emily's POV
"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?" I scream.
I came back down to ask Cameron if he could feed Jackie and I see Jamie and hi on the couch making out.
I run up to Jamie and slap her really hard. She grabs her face and I run upstairs and cry.
"Emily. Are you okay? Can I come in so we can talk."
"Go away Cameron."
He opens the door anyway and comes in and sits on the bed next to me.
"Why?" I say.
"Em, she kissed me. I pushed her away right away. You know me. I hate Jamie and I would NEVER cheat on you. I love you." Cameron's voice cracks and I can see that he has tears in his eyes.
"I don't know what I would do without you in my life." Cameron says and a tear rolls down his cheek.
I start crying harder and I hug Cameron and he kisses the top of my head.
Cameron starts to laugh.
"What is so funny?" I ask
"When you slapped Jamie, the expression on her face was priceless. I never knew you had the guts to do something like that."
"I didn't either." I say and start to laugh. "She deserved it."
"Yes she did." Cameron agrees with me.
Cameron's POV
Emily and I lay under her covers in her bed. I put my arm around her waist and she lays her head on my chest. She falls asleep when I am playing with her hair and I kiss her forehead.
Emily's POV
Cameron and I lay in my bed and I put my head on his chest and his arm is around my waist. I listen to his breathing and he his playing with my hair. I feel him kiss my forehead and I smile and fall right to sleep.
