"Get the kid. We need to get out of here. The Russians have launched their nukes."
"What the hell? Mikhail must be mad."
"Even so, we need to do this. All the training we've given him. You think he would be able to survive something this big?"
"No. The kid is not ready. You could kill him."
"What's one life against a billion others?"
"He's our kid. I'm not going to let you do this to our son." She screamed, "Listen. We have a nuclear bunker with enough food for the three of us. Please."
"Listen to yourself. Where is the agent who was calculating and logical in the field? We are talking about MANKIND here not just a million people or a billion but seven billion of them."
"Okay. I guess. Pack a bag and get the car. I'll get the kid."

Paul Beck and his wife Maria were government agents. They were what Wild Bill Donovan, the founder of the CIA referred to as the "Children of the United States".
Three years ago, they were selected as part of the security force of The Experiment. The only surviving result they guarded now. They were known as 'Mac' and 'cheese' around the S-66 base.
On July 12,2016 ,they were called to the Nellis Air Force Base and Area 51- a thousand square miles of restricted airspace, the entire boundary patrolled by a private security force. Locals call 'em the 'camo dudes,' seeing as they wear camouflage outfits and they don't mess around. Every road and hiking trail from here on out is mined with remote electronic sensors that can not only see and feel vibrations, but can also smell any person approaching the base. There's a surveillance installation on Bald Mountain up ahead, plus they've got a dozen Sikorsky BH-90G Pave Hawks that'll blast the ever-lovin' shit out of any nosey UFO Hunter.
Warning signs then begin to appear more frequently. The road then curves into an S-bend, descending into a valley. After a few minutes you would arrive at a steel perimeter fence and the gated entry of the most heavily safeguarded military base in the world.
And that's not even the good part. Fifteen miles to the southern part of the base, The Site 4 complex appears and this is the fun part.
Site 4 is spread out over several miles across a large desert valley. Buildings are few and far between, connected by a one-lane dirt road. There are eastern bunkers and security towers speckled with antennas and microwave dishes, and a few dark, cone-shaped, alien towers that add a sinister appearance. The Site-4 Complex is only accessible by helicopter. The microwave dishes mounted by the buildings can detect a change in air current caused by a single breath. This means that before you get 1,500 feet to Site-4, you would be dead.
Here, you would need to pass a scan that does not use the conventional eye or DNA scan but an occipital scan. So, before you get to the front door, you would have to scan your blood vessel pattern.
This was the kind of security that was needed here. An agent here could shoot the balls of a flea a 100 yards away, so in effect, no Blindspots.
They started working here and almost a year ago, the most impregnable military base in the world was destroyed. The most covert military underground installation crumbled. The children all in the subterranean facility died. Except one. They took the kid and fled. Within the time that they had been looking after the kid, he had only said one sentence,"I destroyed the base. I did it with my mind."
Over time, they had discovered the disturbing effects of what the experiments had done to the kid. And what it could do for mankind.

Maria Beck headed upstairs for the kid.
"It has started. Hasn't it?" This was the second sentence that they had ever heard the kid speak since they found him buried under rubble. When they found him, he was still breathing and ...glowing.
"Yes baby, they've launched the weapons. We need you to..."

Three minutes later

"Maria, we need to go. Two minutes till coalition impact."
Maria headed down the stairs and entered the car."Come on. Let's go. The world is about to end."
They rode in silence. There was no sound in the car except the pounding of their hearts and the rushing of adrenaline through their bloodstreams.
Suddenly, Paul banked left towards an empty field and stopped.
"Get out. We need to do this. NOW!!"
They got out of the car and Paul told the kid,"We are about to go back. Do your stuff."
They drove away and watched the horizon for some kind of sign.
It started slowly as dot of light in the night sky and started becoming brighter on the horizon.
Paul's phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and looked at it. "Oh shit. 10 seconds to impact."
"Let's hope this idea of yours works. Fingers crossed."
