I wish I could paint

But Van Gough I ain't

So instead of writing about birds

I'm going to paint you with words

I see you sit with skin so fair

Hidden beneath your curly purple hair

You say you look gross-  that you're breaking out

"You look beautiful!" I want to shout

I adore you from head to toe

And will be with you wherever you go

I even love your little tummy

And I'm so glad you're with me

Your eyes are the most wonderful brown

Sitting between, a nose that crinkles when you frown

Below is a kindly smile

That can warm hearts for more than a mile

You say you're pocket size

Which is perfect in my eyes

I adore the bits of you that are soft

And the way you look when I hold you aloft

You're adorable when you're asleep

Cute and cuddly like a sheep

Every day you're looking fine

Ever so happy that you're mine.
