I wrote this at the age of 17 as a tribute to Allen Ginsberg's Howl

One upon times there were potsmn whose name were Patrick. Potsandpans Patrick had a pet cat who call Jess one dy postman prix went out side to deliver his mail unfortunately he has for got his cat so he went back inside to get the cat whenhe got inside the cat WUS gon and he was like lololollollloo XDXDXDXD so he went without cat and was alone in van where he could do postman stuff alone first leter WUS for Mrs shopkeeper so he went to shop and gave meal too miss shop and he went home and died.

"Howl" is a poem written by Allen Ginsberg in 1955, published as part of his 1956 collection of poetry titled Howl and Other Poems, and dedicated to Carl Solomon. Ginsberg began work on "Howl" as early as 1954. In the Paul Blackburn Tape Archive at the University of California, San Diego, Ginsberg can be heard reading early drafts of his poem to his fellow writing associates. "Howl" is considered to be one of the great works of American literature. It came to be associated with the group of writers known as the Beat Generation. There is no foundation to the myth that "Howl" was written as a performance piece and later published by poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti of City Lights Books. This myth was perpetrated by Ferlinghetti as part of the defense's case during the poem's obscenity trial. Upon the poem's release, Ferlinghetti and the bookstore's manager, Shigeyoshi Murao, were charged with disseminating obscene literature, and both were arrested. On October 3, 1957, Judge Clayton W. Horn ruled that the poem was not obscene.

In 1956, famous American poet Allen Ginsberg wrote the poem America where he discusses in true beauty and craft his love hate relationship with his country. America has and will always be one of my favorite poems. It's the poem that introduced me to Allen's writing and the rest of the beats. I know I can't reincarnate the true mantra and prose that Ginsberg so delicately employed, but that's expected and I'm not trying to do so. I'm just putting my 2017 spin on it, wondering and hoping I'm not alone. With the detrimental obstacles that lie ahead of us, both near and distant futures, I hope we can all find some solace through the art of writing.
