"Marissa!" Kevin almost sounds panicked "wake up come on!"

"Owe how did you get here?"

"Its combat practice time and I have to have my sparring partner"

Oh ya ok got this we are the Adapted and I was strung up for tests all rest period. No wonder I hurt so much. Kevin unsnaps the restrains that have me attached to the rack. A mobile lab table that is used when an Adapted dosent wake up on schedule. I'd rather go to school then be strapped to that ting for a rest period...wait what's school? "Kevin do you ever have words pop into your head that you don't know the meaning of?" I inquire of this very well built and attractive teenage boy...three 'new term'

"Yea doesn't everybody?" Kevin grabs Alex "do you ever think of words you've never herd?"

"Relax Kevin. Its ok. Clam down. Your heart rate is high enough you summoned every Technique Drone in the room." He leans closer and says "no" but he ever so subtly nods his head. Why is he being so secretive? What does he have to hide? Hide...god there frequent today.

"What appears to be the problem? Why aren't you practicing" Enforcer Six demands.

"Marissa is soar from her ordeal with the rack last sleep period." Alex states

"Is that what Marissa would say" Enforcer Six enquires.

"Yes Enforcer Six" I bow wincing at the stiff ness I'm going to have to fight with. No practice combat with.

"Dose Marissa need to visit The Observer?"

"No Enforcer Six I'm just stiff" the sound of my fear of the observer creeps in to my voice. Wait fear that's a new one it's like how I feel about needles right? Yes that's it. Its an emotion.

 "Get back to work then"

"Yes Ma'am" wait! What, 'Ma'am'? And that's when the Technique Drones began to smashing themselves into me. My fist shatters the lenses on one while my face dents another one.my head hits the ground with enough force to knock me out.

My eyes snap open and I rub my head where I must have smashed it into the head board. I roll over and close my eyes. When my sight clears I see Alex and his sparring partner Sydney are knocked down too but Kevin takes out three or so before he is knocked down. Our hands and feet are only flesh and seam pretty powerless against these metal spheres.  I discreetly glance around for a weapon. The only even remotely removable thing in the room seems to be the rack. I snap the chain that dangles the evil rack up off the ground. Evil? like Voldemort? When did I read harry potter? Hang on that was like third grade. I went to school? My head gives an angry throb from the confusion and the bruise. I wrap it around my hand and start punching.

I take down five bots before I even think about any of my fellow Adapted. That's when I notice Enforcer Six. She raises the gun and points it at Lydia. I sweep her feet out from under her and she fires a shot strait up. I bet that gun would take these bots out fast. My open hand slams into her nose knocking her out and braking her nose. She lie there choking on her blood.  I grab the enforcer's gun from her hands, and role her over with my foot. She doesn't really need to drown now that she's out of the fight. A hostage could be useful if were to ever get out of here. There is somewhere other than here? I wipe the blood off on my white skin tight uniform.

Then the rifle is raised to my shoulder and aimed at a bot. breath in. breath out. Breathe in, hold. Fix aim, and slowly squeeze the trigger don't yank it...and bang. The bot clangs to the ground at me feet. That's when the Enforcers start to enter the room in threw there only door. I aim for the first one threw the doors right leg just above the knee and repeat my previous procedure. He falls and the one behind him trips I aim for his arm and his down the next on can't even get threw but he hides behind his downed but not dead comrades and takes aim at me. "Shit guys we need to get out this is going to get really bloody!" I scream as loud as my voice will go to be sure that everyone can hear me over the clang of blinded bots bouncing off the walls. About then the bullet connects with my arm. The scream that rips threw my body make my previous yell sound pitiful. I drop the gun. It fires a shot into the din.
