(y/n = your name, if you didn't know)

"Y/N! Hiccup! Get inside, now!" their father, Stoick the Vast, yelled at them as a Deadly Nadder ran up to them. It was time for the dragons to raid once again. Stoick rammed his hands down on either side of the purple and green Nadder's head, causing it to fall to the ground.

The two children ran clumsily to the house, dodging lava blasts from Gronkles and spines from Nadders. Hiccup got inside and was just about to pull his sister into the house when they both froze. The sound of a Night Fury charging up echoed through Berk and a dark blue plasma blast hit the house beside the twins.

Y/n screamed, drawing attention to her small form. Hiccup tried to pull her in, but Y/n refused to move. The house that was just destroyed belonged to her best friend, Astrid.

Hiccup saw turquoise eyes narrow in the dark, and he pulled desperately on his sisters' arm. She just wouldn't budge. The Night Fury flew towards them, none of the vikings seeing where it went. The monster closed in, nearly tearing Y/n from her brothers' grip.

Hiccup managed to hand on as the Night Fury pulled him and his sister through the air. Suddenly, it did a sharp dive, bolas and arrows flying towards the beast. Hiccup lost his grip on his sister and cried out, tears leaving his eyes as he flew through the air.

The village watched as Stoick the Vast's only daughter way carried away by the Night Fury. A thud resonated through Berk as Hiccup landed on the grassy ground. He was crying and wailing out "How could I let her go?!" The village watched in silence as the seven year old cried out for his sister, who would most likely be dead by the end of the night, and if not, definitely dead by the end of the week.

Y/n cried out in pain as the Fury's claws dug into her shoulders. The rhythmic flap of its large wings helped her mind slowly dip into unconsciousness. The blood loss made Y/n dizzy as she hung in the beasts' claws. They had london since parted ways with the rest of the dragons, and Y/n was sure they were going to a different place. 'I hope I don't get eaten' she thought as the dizziness threatened to make her vomit. Again.

Black spots danced in her vision as her head spun, causing momentary blackouts. 'Wait! I am Y/n Cunning Haddock, the only daughter of Stoick the Vast! I am Heir to the throne of Berk! I will not die a pitiful death hanging over the sea!' she thought, and started struggling once again. The black spots cleared from her vision as adrenaline rushed through her body.

The dragon suddenly shook her and momentarily let go before diving for the screeching girl once again. Y/n panted, wild with fear, as the dragon dug its claws deeper into her shoulders. 'I'm only seven years old! I'm to young to die! Was I some sort of cruel prank the Gods played on my father?' she thought as she started weeping. She looked up at the veiw. It was sunrise now, and the sky was gorgeous. Was this the last thing she would see?

Y/n shook her head, chasing of the darkness as it tried once again to take over her vision. The flapping of wings seemed to have gotten louder, and the nauseating heights paired with the dizziness of blood loss made a terrible pair. She fought desperately to stay awake, to stay alive, to keep fighting these monsters. They took Astrid from her, they took Hiccup from her, they took her mother and father from her, they took Nefertiti, her older sister from her, and now they were taking her home from her.

Suddenly, everything we thought dark, and Y/n wondered if she would ever sew daylight again.

———

Stoick cried out, tears forming in his eyes. Those monsters took everything from him. Both of his daughters, his wife, his mother, was his life simply for the entertainment of the Gods? He cradled the last thing dear to him close to his chest. He would never let this happen again.
