"It's 7:45!" Braden screamed. "What? Shoot!" Alex said panicking. "You gotta go now! Here!" Braden then shoved Alex's bag in his face. "Thanks." Alex said slowly taking the bag. Braden started to push him out of the door, "Now go! You can't be late!" "Okay! Okay!" Alex said, "Bye." Braden waved and smiled.

Alex ran to his car and hopped in, grabbed his keys and drove out. He had 15 minutes to get to the palace, he calmed himself down, "Alex, you'll be fine. You won't be late, you'll be there soon enough." He thought to himself. He continued to follow the address Braden had texted him. Then he started to panick again, "What if no one dances with me? What if I mess up? What if they look at me weirdly?" Bad thoughts ran through his head and before he knew it, he was already at the palace. "Oh thank god." He said quietly.

There were a bunch of cars there, he could see so many people walking in. He walked in and the palace was beautiful. It was so spacious inside, and so well lit all around the place. There was an upstairs and downstairs where people could interact and hangout. Countless people were there, so many women dressed in gorgeous and expensive gowns and men in clean slick suits. He felt that almost everyone had someone to dance with, people were already dancing on the huge dance floor. Then he noticed a live band on stage playing for the people, they sounded amazing. They mostly had upbeat songs to dance to but also slow and romantic ones. Alex smiled. But then frowned again when he remembered that he had no one to dance with.

That's when he saw the table of foods, there were so many good looking foods. There were cakes and small cupcakes next to each other. There were fruits and chocolate right next to the cakes, that also included a giant chocolate fountain. They had pudding, jello, cookies.. There were all sorts of food options. They had tons of drink options as well. They of course had water, but they also had juice, soda, hot chocolate, tea, and coffee. Alex immediately went for a cup of tea and a chocolate covered strawberry. He was happily eating for a few minutes until he remembered that he had no one to dance with. This was a dance after all, he sighed and put his food down. He had no point in being there. But still stayed hoping someone would come along.
