Chapter 4 ~ Mysterious Warmth.
Paris stood there staring in shock, it happened so quickly. She barely had the chance to realize what was happening. Unsure whether or not to run, a few moments passed. She just watched in utter confusion. Just at the moment she was on the verge of tears she felt a warm but musculine hand blind her. Stopping her from witnessing the scence. The owner of the hand pulled her body close. She felt her feet being hoisted off the ground, then there was movement and the air rushing past quickly, even though she couldn't see the person carrying her, she knew it had to be male. The warmth remained around her body as her hands clung to the strong figure holding her, but the confusion still lingered inside her. She felt the person holding her slowing down, once they'd came to stop, she was placed on the ground, before she could even have a chance to look at the person her vision became blured with tears and her body felt weak, before she had the chance to comprehend what was happening, everything went black.

Paris's eyes opened to the sun light peering though the window, she squinted and than procceeded to sit herself up right on the bed and looked around her bedroom. how did she get in her room? Paris stared at the wall, remembering everything that had happened; The funeral, Kim's two best friends crying, the coffin falling over, Kim's deceased body fell out, feeling the warmth of an unknown stranger...To everything turning black. She looked over at Jazz's bed but she wasn't there. 'She must of left early.' She thought to herself.
She got herself out of bed and grabbed a towel before walking into the bathroom. Paris glared at her morning look that she so very much hated before stripping off her dress she had worn at the funeral and turned the shower tap on, watching the running water a little, waiting for the temprature to be right, before stepping in and draping the curtain across. After the warm shower that had woken her up she walked out to her cupboard and picked out black skinny jeans and a yellow plain T-shirt, happy with her choice of fashion she went back to the bathroom and picked up her brush and started brushing her long blonde hair. Once it was brushed and blow dried she pulled out her straightner and plugged it in. She waited for it too heat up before she ran it through her hair, straightening it all before turning it off and putting it in the draw, this being a typical morning routine that she never really missed. Deciding to leave her hair out today, she simply placed in a clip that held her fringe back to the side and smiled at her reflection once finished applying a natural look of makup. She noticed a shadow shifting, she couldn't help but notice that this same thing had happened before, she thought she'd seen a black transparent figure shifting behind her, like a ghost. But she'd turn to find nothing. Just an empty wall.
Paris frowned and turned around, nothing was there. Same as it was when she walked in. Lonely. She hurried out of the bathroom feeling a tension build up in her stomach and slid on her black slip on shoes before running out of the room and down the hallway. Paris kept running down the hallway not really paying attention she ran into a rock hard chest. "Eh? Uhh, I'm so sorry." Paris stammered almost out of breath from running, she looked up to see a tall male with brown short hair and an amazing smile. "Oh don't worry about it, I'm pretty sure I didn't get hurt." He said mockingly. "I'm new here, I not long transfered because my parents made me enroll... I'm guessing you're not new?" He asked. Paris swallowed a lump in her throat and took her gaze off of him and onto her feet. "Umm no, my aunty made me come here... After my parents both died." She said softly. "Oh I'm so sorry... I didn't know..." He was cut off by hearing laughter from Paris. Paris smiled and laughed. "Oh it's okay, I wouldn't expect you to know, you're new to this school and I haven't even met you yet so it's perfectly fine." She said calmly, quieting down of her laughter. "So whats your name?" She asked. " My name? Duke." He introduced and held out his had to her. Paris happily took his hand and shook it, smiling up at him,"It's nice to meet you Duke." She said. "Ahh, would you like me to show you around Duke?" She asked, resting her hand to her side. Duke nodded and held onto his suit case. "Yes that'd be awsome, I don't know where everything is around here it'd be nice to have you show me around... But you never told me your name." He said, raising his eyebrow at her. "Oh! How rude... My name is Paris." She finally introduced smiling. “So do you know what room you have?" She asked. Duke smiled and let go of his suit case to pull out a key with a number on it. "Umm, my room is number fourteen." He said and followed beside her holding the suit case and letting it role behind him. Paris guided him down the hallway until she stoped at his room and smiled. "This is the room, I don't think you have a roommate yet but I'm sure you will sooner or later." She giggled as he unlocked the door with his key. Duke smiled at her and opened the door. "Well it was great meeting you Paris but I've got some unpacking to do, so I hope I'll see you around?" He asked. Paris nodded quickly and smiled back warmly. "yes of course" She agreed and waved. Duke waved back before closing the door. Paris walked back down the hall watching the walls when she heard two voices, one sounding foreign, some how like and Indian accent. She looked up seeing Mathew with a dark skin tone and jet black hair. It seems the excitment of new students coming had let her thoughts drift away from this mornings occurances. "Morning Matt, who's your friend?" She asked and smiled at the two. "This is Tahj, Tahj this is Paris" Mathew introduced them and smiled, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "He's an exchange student from India and he got transfered here to stay, and I'm the one who has show him around." He informed, looking at Paris. Paris nodded and shook Tahj's hand. "Well it's good to meet you Tahj, I'll help show you around if you get bored with Matt showing you around." She said, grinning at mathew who was looking at her with a crooked smile. Tahj gave her a small smiled. "Oh no, I'm fine I'm sure I won't get bored with him showing me around, but it's nice to know I have friends already." He said, his Indian accent seeming his most obvious feature. Paris smiled kindly at him as she nodded. "Alright, well I'll be around if you need me." She said, continuing down the hall.
