Chapter 9 ~ Meeting The Murderer
Matt kept staring at the lifeless bodies, dangling before their eyes, he reached a hand for the door and slowly closed it, knowing Paris and Jazz they'd be traumatized if they had to look at it any longer, let alone smell the stench of rotting flesh.
How long have they been there for?
Why were they hung like that?
Who did this to them?
Those three questions ran through all their minds after they all uncovered their eyes, now looking at each other in utter shock.
"We have to go now, tell someone what we've seen." Matt spoke, breaking the thick silence around them.
"Yeah." Paris whispered and looked down at her shaking hands.
Tahj looked at them. "Holy dear god, I wasn't expecting that at all." He exlcaimed, his voice cracking at the end as they turned from the door and began to wonder away, the horrid scene still fresh in their memories.
Paris seen a tall figure move from the corner of her eye and quickly turned her head to gaze upon a tall man with deep grey eyes peering back at her.
At that moment she froze. Her body felt useless, she became unable to force herself to move. This man wore a black steampunk coat and black slacks with black buckled laced boots that had small chains hanging around the sides. His thick black hair reached his shoulder and on top of his head was a black top hat with chains also around the brim, it appeared rather old fashioned to her.
Once everyone turned around to see who she was gawking at, the man who stood before them with a scary, frightening grin, finally spoke after an intense silence, "Good afternoon girls and boys." he said and stood a bit straighter.
Matt glared at the man and grabbed Paris's arms and gently moved her behind himself.
"Who are you?" He barked the question.
"Oh I'm the owner of this place." He said and looked at each and everyone of them.
Tahj let a loud gasp escape his lips and stared at him.
"Do you know you have hanging bodies behind that door? That are rotting away slowly and stink terribly? And that they're like that?" He asked, his eyes growing big with shock from earlier.
The tall man just stood watching them while Tahj spoke, not really interested in paying him any attention.
"I asume you're all here for the excersion correct? Yes well they're just models i've made... I didn't mean to make you all scared it's just something for halloween. I had to practise first before I actually decided to use them, again I'm terribly sorry." He said.
Matt of course didn't buy it. "Come on, best to report it" He whispered to Paris who nodded in agreement.
The man's happy grin now faded and formed into a frown.
"There will be no need for that as I said it's not real." He defended, trying to feed the students lies.
"Than there shouldn't be a problem should there?" Matt asked, glaring at the stranger, intensifying the situation.
The man tensed up and glared back at him.
"Alright, you want to play it that way? Anyone of you who leave this room will be replacing those bodies." He said threatened in a his deep and coarse voice.
Everybody froze in place as soon as the words left the mans mouth.
"Good, I'm glad you get the point." He said, the grin across his lips formed again.
