I pulled up to IHop parking my car. I parked it in the handicap stop right in front of the door cause fuck I look like walking far asl to get in my car. I turned the car off getting the handicap sticker shit I stole out of the glove compartment hanging it up and getting out.
I promised Herb I would have breakfast with him,Kathy,Payton,Joshua and Randall. I ain't really feel like it but shit who's gonna turn down free food? Sure as hell not me.
I walked inside spotting them right away. I walked over to their table and Herb quickly got up pulling me in a hug
"Hey baby girl I missed you" He said
"Uh hey" I said hugging him back
I ain't miss him so I wasn't about to lie to the man and get his hopes up.
He let go and took a seat
"Hey everyone" I waved
"Hey Leah" Kathy smiled
"Sissy sit by me" Joshua smiled pointing to an empty chair by him and Randall.
I walked around the table taking my seat. Josh wasn't a bad kid. I ain't mind calling him my brother
"When did you guys get home?" Herb asked
"I got here yesterday. I flew with Uncle Squeak and Em since my mom and brothers stayed behind to get some stuff together." I said as I looked at the menu
"So you're staying alone?"
"Yeah"
"When yo mama and Em suppose to come back?"
"Shit in like a couple days so I get the crib to myself" I smiled
"Why don't you come stay with us? It'll make me feel better. I don't real right you staying by yoself"Herb said with pleading eyes
I looked around and Randy was basically telling me to say yeah
"Um Yeah sure" I said instantly regretting shit but I guess if I was gonna give them a chance it had to start somewhere right?
The rest of breakfast was chill none popped off and me and Payton was actually able to get along.
As we was walking out Herb stopped me
"Hey Leah"
"Uh yeah?"
"Listen what you say if me and you go out for ice cream just us two? I never got to spend some alone time with you so I was hoping we could"
