Back story: Meredith lived out the rest of her life happily , she never did marry again but she was more than happy with her three incredibly gifted children and her "village" of people as she liked to call it. And that was more than enough for her because after all Meredith Grey never needed a man to be happy. She eventually did develop Alzheimer's and died around 20 years after first being diagnosed.

{ General Pov}

As Meredith woke up she quickly realised that she was no longer in the hospital bed in Grey Sloan memorial hospital but instead in the exact same place she was after the drowning incident , heaven she supposed. Despite no longer being in that hospital bed ridden to it due to her Alzheimer's she did remember the incredible things that her three children had told her before she died. Zola was pregnant , Bailey was now an attending neuro surgeon and Ellis had chosen her specialty , General surgery.

As she took several steps forward she realised that whilst she may have been in a heaven of sorts she was walking the corridors of Grey Sloan's itself , the last place she recalled being happy and at home in. In front of her was also a blurry figure that as she moved towards it realised was her sister , Lexie.

"Lex" she let out with a little sob as she ran towards her sister with her arms open.

"Mer oh my god" the petite brown haired woman also let out as she sobbed embracing her older sister.

"Lexie I've missed you so much you have no idea" Meredith managed to get out between her sobs.

"Oh I do Mer because I've missed you so much more" Lexie whispered as she pulled away from her sister and had her at arms length to get a good look at her.

"Still looking as good as ever mer " her sister said with a slight chuckle as she saw her sister look exactly how she did the day that her and Derek did their post-it.

"Yeah well I guess when you're in heaven it automatically makes you look how you did on the happiest day of your life, although if they'd made me look like I did about 25 years ago my figure wouldn't be so great , that's what 2 kids does to you I guess" Meredith said giggling as her sister made her twirl around.

"Yeah well I guess you have my nephew and second niece to thank for that" Lexie replied smirking as she linked arms with her sister and began to walk down the corridor.

"Wait you know about Bailey and Ellis ?" Meredith asked as she stopped in her tracks.

"Of course , I always had to keep an eye on my big sister , you were the raunchy one of the family, although I'm not going to lie I didn't watch as much when you were sleeping with that Riggs guy , seriously Meredith , four times , in the back of your car" Lexie said with clear disapproval of her sisters actions.

"I know,I know not one of my proudest moments , please don't tell me you saw a lot of that" Meredith replied with a chuckle.

"No ,no but I saw enough which was too much by the way" Lexie muttered trying to suppress a giggle.

"Seriously though I thought when you came up here you'd be dressed like you are or how you were dressed when we were sat on those bleachers after that horrific soft ball game" Lexie added.

"See my dear sister I was drunk there which can easily be mistaken for happiness , although nobody was as drunk as Kepner then " Meredith added with her signature sarcastic smile.
