When You're Sad

You had just come back from your grandmother's funeral with tears streaming down your face. She raised you from when you were 10 after your mother had passed away (just go with the flow of the story please) and she was 99 so she lived a beautiful long life. Even though it still pained your heart to watch her go and see her take her last breath, well God wanted one of his angels back so he called for her. You wiped your eyes to the best of your ability to drive home. You took a personal day and explained to your boss the situation and he was more than understanding. When you got home you undressed and took a nice hot shower your tears mixing with the water. You got out dressing in your pajamas and you sat down eating your favorite snack and put on your favorite tv show to try and cheer yourself up. You felt your eyes burn but you were trying not to let the tears fall again. Your phone buzzed and you looked at it to see Minato texted you

"I'll be there in 5" You gave a half smile as you had wanted to see him anyway. You waited and five minutes later your doorbell rang and you were quick to answer it. You were greeted by a kiss and a tight comforting hug. The smell of his cologne calmed you down and he picked you up closing and locking the door behind him. He walked to the couch and sat down with you in his lap "You're okay baby." You shook your head and he rubbed your back rocking you letting you cry in his chest. After you were done you felt a little better but still clung to him feeling a bit needy "It's alright, I'm here I'm always going to be here." He ran his fingers through your hair as the other hand rubbed circles into your back

"Thank you..." He just gently kissed the top of your head resting his cheek there
