Onika Maraj is adjusting to senior year and getting ready to graduate. She has to move all the way from NYC to North Carolina. Will she end up losing her boyfriend in the move?
NAS POV I had a 3 hour lecture, I'm so damn tired and hungry as shit. My class let out so I walked to the food court.
"Wassup Nasir," three girls said in unison, they must know me from one of my classes. I nodded my head at them and continued walking. I don't have time for these girls, Nika is enough for me. "Can I eat with you?" One of them said, she was tall like 5'7, brownskin, short hair, kinda Nia-longish, and she had a real pretty smile. I shrugged my shoulders at her question to eat with me. She followed me to Subway.

"What's your name?" I asked as we stood in line. Ain't no need to stand in silence. Right?
"Kelis, I'm 19." She said with a smile. I nodded in understanding. "How old are you Nasir?" she asked. "I'm 18." she said mhmmm then there was a silence. "You don't talk much, huh?" she asked. I laughed. "What's funny?" she asked with a smirk.
"Onika asked me the exact same thing when we met." I smiled at the thought of me and Onika's first few encounters. Kelis looked confused. "Onika's my girlfriend." I chuckled. "ohhhhh. She's a lucky girl." Kelis said. I shook my head no, then I ordered my food and continued the conversation.
"Nah, I'm the lucky one." Kelis smiled at me when I said that. "yea she's extremely lucky. You seem like an amazing boyfriend." She said before ordering her food. we grabbed our food and walked to a table. We talked about random stuff like our majors, classes we take/took, and sports. Kelis is real cool. I talk to her like she's one of the guys.
"Oh shit, it's 3:49, my bad Kelis, I gotta go." I hurried and gathered my trash. "wait gimmie ya number." she said before i left. I told her then i ran off to go get Nika, she's gonna kick my ass. I pulled up outside her school, she wasn't outside. Obviously, she wouldn't be here. I'm a whole hour late. I looked at my phone. 7 calls and 12 text messages from her.
Nika 😍😋- Its 2:45, you a minute late lmao
Nika 😍😋- Nasir...?
Nika 😍😋- It's 3 where are you? I been sitting outside for 15 minutes lol....
Nika 😍😋- What the fuck my nigga
Nika 😍😋- You know what I'ma just walk home, fuck it.
Those are just 5 of the texts, from there she was just cussing me out. I feel so bad, I'm a whole hour late. All cause I was talking to Kelis. Omg if she find out i was with another girl, friend or not, that's my ass. I pulled off from the school and went to the store. I picked up a teddy bear and an "I'm sorry" card then I made my way to Nika's house.
"Hi Momma Carol is Onika home?" I asked once her mom opened the door, she told me to come in then told me Onika was upstairs in her room. I walked up to the room and tried to open the door. Locked. "Look, Nika, It's me. I'm so sorry baby, I lost track of time and my phone was on silent. Pleassee open the door."
ONIKA POV
"Go away." I mumbled. I don't feel like dealing with him cause I know Ima end up cussing him out. "Please open the door. i'm really sorry. I love you." he pleaded. "That's nice." I replied with an attitude. "I got you something just to show you how sorry I am." I finally got up. Can't ignore a gift. I cracked the door open.
"what you get me?" I poked my head out. "Let me in the room first." he said sternly. I opened up slowly. He walked in and sat down on the love seat. "I missed you." he said with the lightskin face on just to make me laugh. "mhmm gimme my teddy bear." I snatched it out his hand and he handed me a card. I read it the little paragraph he wrote and smiled at him. How can I cuss him out? He's so cute.
"I love you too ugly." I hugged him and kissed his cheek. "so why the hell were you late picking me up?" I asked.
"I was in dining hall hanging with my friend and i forgot my phone was left on silent cause of when i was in my lecture. You forgive me?" he explained as I stood in front of him and he pulled my legs in between his. He looked up at meand I gave him a little smile.
"of course, as long as you ain't forget about me cause of some girl." I said laughing. He laughed "Haha never would i let a chick distract me from you." I kissed him. "Good. Let's watch a movie." I said. The least he can do is lay here and watch whatever movie I put on. "okay, what we watching?" he said as he got comfortable on my bed. I cuddled up with him. I went to Netflix and put on a movie, I don't know what it was called but i just sat and enjoyed spending time with him.
"Nasir?" I said 30 minutes into the movie. He looked down at me and grabbed my face. "What's up ugly?" I rolled my eyes at him calling me ugly. "Can you spend the night? I'll ask my mom. It should be no problem as long as you sleep on the love seat not in my bed." He never spent the night before so i highly doubt my mom would mind. Plus we not gonna do anything. I'm a virgin and I plan on it staying that way.
"sorry baby, i can't I gotta get back to school at 6:30. Internship with Mr. Davidson." I frowned when he said that. I tried to scoot away from him, he held on to my waist. "Don't be like that." he said. "I'm sorry." he added. I just stared at him. I barely seen him all day and he has to leave me in an hour..
"Is this how it's gonna be when you leave for UNC?" I asked. "Nika, no stop you tripping, we good. You acting like I don't make time for you. I love you, ard?" he said, it kind of made me feel better. "Yea okay, love you too" he got up and grabbed his keys off my dresser. I walked over to him and pecked his lips. "I promise. We'll be fine. I'll call you as soon as I leave my internship." he said before leaving. I shut my room door.
NAS POV
As I got in the car I got a text from Nika.
Nika 😍😋- I love you. and you right. You always make time for me, I'm just trippin lol...
I smiled as I read it. I hope she isn't questioning my love for her. I'm not the best at expressing myself but I try to make sure she knows how much I love her. I made it back to my school and went to Mr. Davidson's classroom.
"Hey Mr. D, how you doin today?" I asked as I walked in and grabbed my lab coat.
"I'm doing great, thanks for asking. I wanna introduce to one of my interns from last year, she's gonna help us out with this project." There came Kelis. She had a lab coat on looking like a lil scientist. "Hi I'm-" I cut her short, no need for an intro. "Kelis." I laughed. she smiled at me.
"Hey Nasir. Don't you look like the cutest male scientist ever." she said, I laughed. "I mean- you said it, not me." i popped my collar. "let's go guys. we got things to do." Mr. Davidson said, we followed him to another room.
