chapter 8 - the reckoning

Ok before I start I will just say I'm skipping a few episodes of the vampire diaries, I couldn't come up with anything good, especially with her meeting klaus and given this is a klaus love story we kinda need him. Lol. Anyway we are starting at the senior prank night which is season 3 episode 5. Now enough of my talking and start the story.

Chapter 8
3rd POV (thought I would give this a try)

It was senior prank night and Iris was currently in front of hundreds of mouse traps. Caroline had pressured them all into taking part in this with everything that was going on with klaus.

The door opened and the lights turned on which made all the mouse traps to go off.

"Oh come on! Seriously? Do you know how long it took to set them all up."

Clearly he had completely forgotten all about prank night.

"Forgot about senior prank night, huh?" Tyler says

"Clearly" was all Matt said as he looked around.

"How could you forget? We've only been waiting for this since freshman year." Caroline spoke annoyed since now they have to set up all the mouse traps again.

"Yeah Matt if I'm doing this you're doing this too" Elena said but she didn't want to do this either when her boyfriend was currently missing.

"I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this" Matt said.

"Caroline's making us" Bonnie said in which Caroline glared at her.

"We're about to be seniors. These are the memories that will stay with us forever and if we don't...." Caroline's sentence was broken by Elena.

"And if we don't create these memories now, then what's the point of it all?"

"Go ahead and make fun, I don't care." Secretly everyone was having the same thoughts as Caroline. Ever since the whole Klaus business happened everyone has been more aware of their surroundings.

"You're all lame and I've got ten more classrooms to prank" Tyler says and walks out. Elena was about to leave as well when Bonnie asks

"Hey where are you going?"

"To superglue Alaric's desk shut. I'm making memories" Caroline smiles at Elena.

"I think I'm going to go out and get some fresh air, I'll catch up to you guys later" Iris says

"You sure" Caroline asks

"Yeah, have fun" iris says and leaves the room

IRIS POV

I leave the classrooms and head outside. I took a deep breath.

"I can't believe this is happening" I say to myself.

"I come here to mystic falls to start anew and now I'm stuck in some war with the oldest vampire in history.... well I have made good friends and would do anything to protect them. It's not the new beginning I was looking for but it is something" after I got my thoughts together I decided to go back in. As I was going in a group of people came out.

'They can't be finished already' I thought

"Hey your leaving already" I asked them

"Yeah some teacher busted us" said some male student

"Have you seen Elena?" I asked

"Yeah she's in the gym with the teacher looked like she was the first one caught" he said and left. I wonder what teacher? I start to walk towards the gym, I hear voices I can't hear what they're saying but I can tell that one of them is Elena. I open the door and am surprised to see the guy I met at the grill awhile back.

"Painter?" I called him considering I don't no his name and he said he liked to paint. He looks at me, his serious face gone and came one with amusement.

"Drawer" he calls me. "It's been awhil-" but before he could finish that sentence Elena yells at me

"RUN GET OUT OF HERE"

But before I could do anything the guy who I nicknamed painter used vampire speed and was right in front of me he grabbed by wrist and started pulling me to Elena. I struggled against his hold but he was to strong I was going to use my kitsune abilities to get out of his grip but didn't want to loose my one chance like this well not until I work out what's going on. And that's when I figured it out.

"Your Klaus aren't you?" I asked not really wanting the answer.

"Well you figured it out fast, it took Elena awhile to figure out but maybe it was because I was in her teachers body then" he said. Which I remember that, that was how I first got involved with the group and became friends with them.

Before I can say anything the door opens and Bonnie and Matt walk in. Elena yells to them to get out of here as she did for me.

"Ah I was wondering when you'd show up. Now we can get started." Says Klaus as he finally let's go of my wrist. He turns to Dana and Chad who I new from a couple of my classes. "Why don't you guys relax and sit right"

Klaus looks over to Bonnie and says "I assume you're the reason elena's still walking around alive?" I just watched the whole exchange, worried for my friend.

"That's right. If you want to blame someone blame me." Bonnie says showing no signs of fear.

"Oh, there's no need for blame, love. Just your witchy interference seems to have caused some undesirable side effects. And since you caused the problem, I'm going to have you find the fix." He says. I have a bad feeling.

Which proved right when a blonde hair girl walked in dragging a weak looking Tyler.

"Get off of me!" Tyler yelled at the blonde, which she just chucks him on the floor.

"I'd like you to meet rebekah. Word of warning... she can be quite mean" Klaus says

"Dont be an ass" she retorts back with a glare. Which he ignored.

"I'm going to make this simple.... every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid they die during the transition. It's quite horrible, actually." Klaus says and grabs Tyler. He bites his wrist and feeds Tyler his blood.

"I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie. And for Tyler's sake... you better hurry." He then snaps Tyler's neck, killing him instantly.
